Well that was my plan all along! Ha! Didn't you notice I just joined September 19th...just to mess with you!

No, in all seriousness, after everything, I have never been given a glimmer of hope from any NVC phone line agent up until today. I have been phoning them at least once a week since April through every wait time, checklist, resubmit, wait time and extended wait time and so on. I am just pissed that one of them would say something to one person, and another agent would say something different to another. They would be better off just saying nothing. AHHHHH I just want this nightmare 14+months to be over. ...I probably should be posting this in the NVC ranting /moral support thread.

I spoke to a Supervisor last week when she marked my CC. She said they will start scheduling interviews this week and that I would most likely get a date for November (Bogota). As we all know it is based on local embassy case loads. From what I can tell? The past 100 cases schedule averaged about 45.85 days/6.5 weeks from CC to interview date (all embassies), based on the VJ excel sheet (I assume that is 7 day weeks and not 5 business days on the google/excel spreadsheet).

Case number stays the same and used the same at CEAC. As far as the embassy and the printed case number on the IV foil, it will have two additional digits at the end. For most it would be "01". For us it was "01" to "06", unique to each family member on the same NVC/DOS case. Those added digits appeared once our status turned to READY at CEAC. I'm not sure if these two digits need to be used at ELIS.

Great thank you so much. :D(F) (L) (F)

LOL! You tricked me into calling NVC, alaskabound! :rofl::rofl::rofl: I'm your first victim! LOL! Just kidding! You guys are so funny! :D

I posted this on the NVC Moral Support/Ranting thread, but I remember everyone was saying that NVC was much better than USCIS when I got NOA2 in April! :content:

It was supposed to take one month to get a case number; then, one more month to get a CC (total of 2 months). :angry:

It ended up taking me more than 4.5 months (without any checklists)! :bonk:

Just prepare a written statement and submit it to the CO during the interview. If you think it's critical information, you could send the letter to the embassy after they receive your case. Anything earlier than that could delay your case at NVC, and you definitely don't need that.

Calling NVC 4 TIMES a DAY!!?? :wow: I thought it was a typo of 4 times a month! :rofl:

How is it possible considering how difficult it is to get connected and you usually wait for 30-50 minutes on hold each time you call? :no:

@Dwheels

Halleluyah, i don't even know what to say because prior to the interview, i was very nervous and my husband kept calming me down.He said we have a very good and genuine marriage, so no need to be nervous, he also said what God has destined no man can change it. I just smiled even though am still afraid, i just don't want any bad thing to happen because i know how difficult the journey have been, have not seen him for two years and just a small mistake can damage everything, i just cant imagine what may happen but i thank God We went to ZAGC today and they told us to come tomorrow for the marriage certificate, then as soon as we get it tomorrow, we are mailing it off straight. I hope before two weeks we will be on our way. Thank you so much Dwheels, you are a very good friend. wow the journey of 27 months is about to finish. am very happy

We should never underestimate Lady Luck, wrecker of the best laid plans.

According to the CO, there is no need for a follow-up interview. Once I submit the document, the case will be revisited for the final decision. If approved... in a day or a thousand, I will be contacted to bring the passports. The document I have received already via email and it is digitally signed, so there is no such thing as an original. I just turned it in at the embassy a few minutes ago.

Oh... and thanks for the great complement dear... Really appreciated.
