Hello everyone,

Can anyone please help me. I would like to know how long will it take for NVC or consulate to issue a Interview Letter? I just received an email from from NVC today morning Following :

23SEP14
Dear Sir/Madam,
All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has
been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and
attorney (if applicable) will be notified.
The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment
until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.
The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the
interview.
Sincerely,
Director

National Visa Center

Your assistance will greatly be appreciated.

Thank you

Alright guys my wife haf her interview on 23rd sep in islamabad Pakistan. She was given green slip and case have been put in AP :( m so down at the moment so is my wife. It has been more than year and half since I filed her petition.

I am US citizen and sponsored my wife CR1 visa.

Interview went pretty well. Immigration officer was a lady. She asked my wife about me. What do I do for living. When did we get married. Immigration officer also asked for wedding pics. She said everything looks great.

Issue came I guess when immigration lady asked my wife that why did u lived In china. My wife went to china for medical education for 5 years. After that immigration officer took her time and hand her green slip .. she said to my wife, dont worry everything looks good. Interview is clear. We r keeping your passport and have to get authorization from Washington. . And you will get your passport in few days.

Please I some experts opinion on my case.. what do u guys think . How long would it take now ?

I am so confused at the moment. First immigration lady gave my wife 221g green slip for administrative processing.

My wife was so nervous and almost had tear in her eyes. Immigration lady calmed her down and said dont u worry. Everything is fine. We have to follow our procedure. You will get your passport in few days..

Maybe is it normal for them to say *few days* ?

My case completed on july 10th 2014

It took 30 business days to review IV and affidavit.

Thanks but my concern is immigration lady did not say that she is approving visa. She gave my wife green administrative processing slip and said there r further processing to your case. And have to get authorized from Washington. But she also said you will get your passport in few days. I m so confused

Is anyone feeling motivated to call NVC today to find out if they've started scheduling November? After all, our calls are very important to them and they look forward to speaking with us.

LOL for real. I would for all of you since I have no case with them. I call now and then just to hear that recording. Oh memories. hehe

What does the green paper say and is anything checked? If they said they have to wait for Washington she is in security name check . She is in AP.

Okay Pakistan is known to put the majority of men in AP for name checks and some women.

How long depends on how fast the get the information no one can say how long because well its Washington and the checks are going to be her movements in China and checking that all out.
