Sorry your dwheelness. :(

Spoke to Reese and what a B she is said I DO NOT HAVE A CASE COMPLETE that it's under Supervisor Review to get it complete and can take up to 30 days to get this done. But she didn't think it would take that long.

I called again right away and spoke to Torry nicer but of no help and said the same your case is not Case Complete and it's in the hands of a Supervisor asked if I could talk to them the obvious NO we are not in the same department and they don't take calls.

This is why I hesitated to post I had CC, I just can't believe thing they say. :(

Hmmm. Well its been 60 days since the last thing you did (DS-260). I would say you will have case complete this week. Hang on. Especially since its in Supervisor Review. Don't cry. It will all be fine.

And really dwheelness!! Where's my crown? :star:

hey ..guys .. just recieved an other Eamil from NVc that they are gonna schedule an interview soon .. when i check online it still says .N/A .. does anybody know whats that mean ?

N/A is suppose to be an indicator its been reviewed and accepted. You're done . You have CC so that would prove it.

Hey need some suggestions.

Have my interview on Oct 1st, and embassy is shut from 2nd to 6th. When will it be the safest bet to fly out? Do you guys think I can expect my pp and visa by 7th or latest 8th? Can I request for a same day visa? Do they even oblige? Is it even possible?

This is at Mumbai Consulate.

Thanks :)

It's really frustrating that the vaccination requirements are so badly documented and all over the place.

I thought I had read Oct 31st - March 31st but I can't recall where. Now I see a bunch of people saying it's Oct 1st or Oct 31st until either Feb 28th or March 31st.

So what is it?

:bonk:

I just called my doctor. According to them, they require a flu shot starting from Oct 1st. :bonk:

If you read that some doctors require a flu shot from Oct 31st, I'd like to change doctors.

That's right we are in manitoba. You are lucky to have a doctor close to where you live. We will either fly to Toronto ASAP for his medical, or go to medisys in Montreal and just make a week of it. I'd just be supescared worrying about the results coming back in time, I read it takes about a week. Flights to Toronto are pretty expensive unless I use my airmiles but then I won't have any left for Montreal so we shall see.

I was kind of thinking the same as you, if my hubby could avoid the flu shot that would be ideal, he already has to get td and mmr because his mom lost his medical records from when he was a kid, his school shut down and his pediatrician died. I guess once we know what our date is we will be able to better plan. So happy things are moving along at last!

I guess driving to Ontario takes too long from Manitoba.

Your hubby can take a blood titer test to find out what vaccinations he'll still need to take. That's what I did since I had no vaccination record. I got a free blood titer test in Vancouver. You may want to check if you can get it free in Manitoba.

Hey Austin,

So taking a titer test will tell all the vaccinations you have had. Is that enough as proof, (you think?) for the immunization purposes for immigration?

Ah, you're on the interview thread!? :wow: Does it mean you just got a CC? :huh2: If so, that was super fast!

But...I thought you got a checklist two weeks ago? -_- I'm confused.

Yes, you can take a blood titer test according to my doctor's web site. http://www.drgulzarcheema.com/index-3.html :star:

B L O O D T E S T (TITER IMMUNITY TEST):

If you do not have the vaccine records available from childhood, you can have a blood test to prove that you have been vaccinated. You can visit your Family Doctor or any medical clinic and request a blood test. Please note there is no blood test for Tetanus or Pertussis. If you choose to have your blood test, ensure that you receive the result prior to your arrival for the Immigration Medical. Please note that without proof of vaccinations, we are not able to complete the medical.

Parts of Ontario aren't too bad but all the doctors are in or near Toronto, more than 8 hours away

Thanks for the thought! The blood titer test was my first thought too, we went to his doctor 2 weeks ago to ask for them, I was even willing to pay for them, but his doctor is a know it all idiot an you can't tell him anything!!! He refused to do the titer tests, and insisted on doing the mmr and td right then and there. I told him Jeff shouldn't have the td until 4 weeks before the interview, but he said that is only if he has proof of an initial series otherwise he has to get it twice 4 weeks apart. I kept showing him the paper where it says OR a booster within the last 4 weeks but he just wouldnt listen!!! So now Jeff has to go back 10/8 for a second td and the flu shot since his medical won't be scheduled before then. I am so worried about all that extra mercury in his system, the doctor said that is "hogwash". Oh well, at least it will all be over soon, then we will be on the hunt for a new doctor in a new country where free healthcare is only a dream.

Sorry to hear this! What a mind game NVC is. How can one person tell say you have a CC and then the next say you don't?

When I spoke to the normal rep they said they would request a supervisor review that would take up to 60 days. (that's when I asked to speak to a supervisor). They told me one wasn't available and that is when I lost my sh*t and started crying because I was so upset as I had already waited 67 days. The rep put me on hold and magically a supervisor became available.

Then I spoke to supervisor Octavio who initiated the supervisor review himself on a Friday (he had to request my file from another building) and I called back on the Tuesday and he reviewed and completed my case over the phone. At first he told me to wait for an email, but I complained that the case complete emails are delayed by a week, so he agreed to let me call back and ask for him on Tuesday.

So, if you do call again try to find out if your case has been given to a supervisor yet and which one so you can follow up with them directly. When I called Octavio back, he had not yet done it but was able to put me on hold and do it in less than 5 minutes. Might depend who you get, I think I was very lucky to get Octavio.

Wishing you the best of luck!
