As far as I remember, you live in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, eh? If so, I think you're going to one of the doctors in Ontario. :star:

I'm going to Dr. Gulzar Cheema (the only doctor in Metro Vancouver, BC). According to the website (http://www.drgulzarcheema.com/index-3.html), you must bring an interview letter. -_-

I was hoping to take the medical exam this month since they require a flu shot from next month. :dead: However, I don't think I'll receive my interview letter until next month so I'll have to suck it up and take a flu shot. :bonk:

That's right we are in manitoba. You are lucky to have a doctor close to where you live. We will either fly to Toronto ASAP for his medical, or go to medisys in Montreal and just make a week of it. I'd just be supescared worrying about the results coming back in time, I read it takes about a week. Flights to Toronto are pretty expensive unless I use my airmiles but then I won't have any left for Montreal so we shall see.

I was kind of thinking the same as you, if my hubby could avoid the flu shot that would be ideal, he already has to get td and mmr because his mom lost his medical records from when he was a kid, his school shut down and his pediatrician died. I guess once we know what our date is we will be able to better plan. So happy things are moving along at last!

OK just finished reading through all 48 pages on this thread. Gus told me I had a Case Complete yesterday night, so I guess I belong here now and I couldn't be happier. So this is me, saying HI everyone :)

Does anybody know if we can schedule the medical before we have an interview date? We have to fly for both the medical and for the interview, at first I was thinking we would do both on one trip but now I'm thinking I'd like to get his medical done as soon as possible just to take the pressure off and do it on 2 separate trips. Worrying about the results not coming in time would kill both of us. We are going to be interviewing at Montreal.

Congrats on your CC, welcome to the interview thread. Also known as the "finally free from NVC thread" well, maybe that's just what I call it.

My hubby had his medical last week and had to get a flu shot. Maybe Australia is different than Canada, although you would think all the medicals would be universal to what the US requires???

I am glad he got it. Certain strains of flu are very serious. My friend in Oregon nearly lost her husband last year due to a very nasty flu. He was only mid-30s and healthy as a horse, so it can happen to anyone. He was in the hospital for weeks with great expense to his family. Why risk it if a little jab could help avoid it? To each their own.

Hi everyone! I cannot believe I only became aware of this site now! Nearly at the end of this dreadful process that began for me in August of 2013. I had my case complete confirmed by NVC on Sept 10th, so I am one of those hopefuls for getting an interview date in the next round I believe, according to the amazing spreadsheet you have put together dwheels. Thank you! You have given me hope! My 2 year old, my 6 month old (both US citizens) and I are dying to be with my husband again and starting our life together in Alaska! I really am excited to find out if the interviews for Canada will start being scheduled soon. Thank you to everyone who contributes here and answers questions, I have read every post and will be following you advice to the letter to see this process to the end.

I have finished reading every single posting on the Sept and Oct Interview threads! :star: Lots of postings congratulating for getting interview dates, passing the interviews, and getting the visas!

It looks like nobody has been denied at the interview except for one person who needs to find another joint sponsor because their joint sponsor is a friend, not a family member. There was another person from one of the Facebook groups who had to get another joint sponsor.

I'll still need to read about ELIS. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/USCIS%20ELIS/immigrant-fee-guide.pdf Browse the Montreal Consulate web site. http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/ And information about the medical exam. http://www.drgulzarcheema.com/ :reading:

I guess I'll be reading more stuff while waiting for my interview date at the end of this week or early next week.

People on this thread don't get denied. It's a blessed thread. :goofy:

I had my interview this morning, and my visa was approved there!! Yay! Now on CEAC the status says administrative processing, and I'm wondering if it's normal to have that status before the visa issuance. I got a little worried when I saw this status.

Anyway I hope to get my passport back very soon.

Thank yall for your support throughout th process!

How long does it take to get the interview letter after NVC assigns the interview date? I thought it was a matter of days? Also, isn't the flu shot was from Oct 31st onwards?

I believe you'll receive an interview letter 1-2 days after NVC assigns an interview for you.

According to http://www.drgulzarcheema.com/index-3.html#Vaccinations, it states that a flu shot is required Oct-Feb. It doesn't state the date so I'll call them up to find out the exact dates. I'm assuming it's from Oct 1 to Feb 28 or 29. :bonk:

Getting a flu shot in fall!? :wow: Oh, it's spring in Australia... but still... Maybe it's really cold in Australia now.

I must be allergic to a flu shot. Every time I got a flu shot, I ended up getting the hardcore flu. :dead: I thought I was going to die. :bonk:

So I stopped getting a flu shot. I haven't had the flu since I stopped getting a flu shot.

I'll let you know once I receive my CC letter. :star:

Since I got a CC on Sept 16th, you should receive your CC letter the following day. ;)

Our NVC processing timelines ended up being near identical!

Hey my friend, I received a letter today my tenth hahahaha another your address has been updated. Boy I was so excited but figured it might be the address change letter which I received two of last week. :D Nothing on my Paid changing to N/A either but wont worry about that. Indeed pretty much identical. :)

When you checked the posts for interviews dates, approvals etc were they just for Canada? I have this horrible fear of the Egyptian Embassy I just can't shake. Thank you.

Thank you Austin your such a wonderful friend, I'll check out the link.

Yes I have read about the interviews taking a month or two and that is a miracle in itself I'm grateful for that.

What is special about the Egyptian Embassy and a couple others is they put more people mostly males in AP consistently. If you read some of the interview questions they are shocking at least to me. They will insult the USC spouse to the beneficiary, it's a long story. When I've told it a lot of people agree with the Embassy so I'll leave it at that.

Thank you I'll do my best to relax. :) You are one special and amazing person Mr. Austin ;) (F)

:bonk:

It's really frustrating that the vaccination requirements are so badly documented and all over the place.

I thought I had read Oct 31st - March 31st but I can't recall where. Now I see a bunch of people saying it's Oct 1st or Oct 31st until either Feb 28th or March 31st.

So what is it?

:bonk:

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Hello All,

I have just got off the phone with NVC. The lady told me (didn't catch her name) that our documents are still at NVC (our CC was on Sept. 15th) and they have not scheduled the interview yet. She says that she doesn't know when the interview's going to be scheduled. The documents will be sent to the embassy after the interview is being scheduled.

I should be receiving the confirmation mail re: CC very soon.

So I thought I would like to share this info with you as some of you may have similar timeline as we do.

Hanging there! :goofy:

P.S. I am glad that I found this site. (F) I love people helping each other and I wish all the administrators/officers were like you guys..
