It would be a valid reason I think if he had a time-sensitive contract already. But really, if they had empty slots that they don't expect to be filled, why wouldn't they reschedule anyway?

One thing for sure, you won't get rescheduled if you don't ask.

That's how I look at it too, with the open slots... I will for sure be calling as soon as the papers arrive to the embassy to check!

Thanks!

That is your "Case Complete" email. Now you just wait for another email (Sometimes referred to P4) with your interview date and instructions.

I am sure this topic has been covered before, but can anyone tell me what it means when your CEAC status says "In Transit"? Does this mean the consulate has not received it yet, or is there sometimes a delay between when they actually receive it and when it shows on CEAC as "Ready".

I am just curious because the DHL tracking shows a package leaving NVC last week and arriving at my embassy on Monday, which I assume is mine and still it is showing "In Transit" on CEAC.

Not too stressed yet since my husband's interview isn't until 7th October, but will feel better once it says "Ready".

Don't stress about it. In Transit starts from the moment the case is forwarded to NVC's mailroom to the moment the case gets logged in at the destination consulate, including waiting times at both mailrooms. Mine stayed in transit for 12 days... and it never appeared on DHL tracking.. go figure!
