That's one cool and well stocked workstation. So I'm guessing one screen for football and the other for Minecraft?

Funny story: I read on the news yesterday that Microsoft bought Minecraft's parent company (Mojang). On the way to school I bragged to my 10 and 13 year old sons who are both Minecraft addicts about the news (trying to be a cool dad). They said... "we knew that yesterday... and Jeb (or whatever) will leave Microsoft to be the third Mojang president."

That put me in my place.

He also said that people who got CC earlier will get earlier interviews. However, I heard some people got CC late and ended up getting earlier interviews than people who got CC earlier. :bonk:

Not always true. Besides, bdrew was the first to be scheduled in her time, only to be put on the last possible date of the month!! She showed them though.

I've also seen cases that got CC'ed and scheduled simultaneously as they happened to get the CC during the scheduling window.

I just called NVC and talked to Gus. According to him, NVC contacts the embassies/consulates multiple times a month to let them know about recent CCs. Technically, the embassies/consulates can schedule interviews anytime. :)

Well, Gus didn't have any specific dates when they're going to schedule interviews next. Sept 24th, 25th, or 26th? He didn't know.

He also said that people who got CC earlier will get earlier interviews. However, I heard some people got CC late and ended up getting earlier interviews than people who got CC earlier. :bonk:

Everything Gus said makes sense but none of it is true.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

NVC is working on weekends!? :wow: I didn't know the rumor had spread to this interview thread! LOL

I just called NVC and talked to Gus. According to him, NVC contacts the embassies/consulates multiple times a month to let them know about recent CCs. Technically, the embassies/consulates can schedule interviews anytime. :)

Thanks! :star:

Daaaaaang, I would never have pinned Gus (my favorite Agent) to striaght up lie! That's not how scheduling works at all lol

They don't start scheduling interviews until they receive the initial calendar with the Embassy's capacity for the month. This is why some Embassies take longer to start than others (NVC doesn't have the schedule yet). Once they reach capacity, they are done. I think the 'round 2' comes in if the Embassy still has openings after the first week (commonly referred to as 'round 1').

Now, with scheduling: those idiots do it randomly. It's not first in, first out. Agent Don explained that and if you look at the spreadsheet, you'll see. Priority Date, Case Creation date, Case Complete date is not factored into scheduling. Scroll through the June/July Interview thread and read my diatribe lol

I just called NVC. Reese confirmed they are done with October and that we have to wait for November scheduling to start. I guess I already knew that but I needed to hear it from the horse's mouth.

In other news, exactly one week after case complete, we received the confirmation email from NVC this morning. I was amused by the return address they quote in that letter:

United States Department of State

National Visa Center
Attn: WC
Is that the address where they flush incoming mail down the toilet? Maybe that's where my attorney sent my 2013 tax documents back in May... :)

Just got off the phone with Dale at NVC. I was calling to see if my interview was scheduled yet. He said no and that they are done scheduling interviews for the rest of the month. They will start scheduling interviews the beginning of October for November interviews and that all slots for October were closed. Why does it have to be so difficult?

Haha they are good at being robots. 12 more days until October- hoping it goes by fast! I plan on calling the Embassy once they receive my papers to see if we can get an earlier one in October because Naples doesn't get very much traffic for visa cases. A majority is school or work visas...

It's like we were just on a conference call. This is verbatim what Reese just told me.

I agree it's difficult. Every step of this process fully tests my patience. I think they will start scheduling November in exactly one week. We'll just have to hang tight until then.

They're just stuck in a mass production mode. They won't schedule for October even if an embassy doesn't have a single October slot filled. Best option for an earlier date than scheduled is to wait until embassy has both your case and medical results and then request an earlier date. I just got my October interview shifted to the middle of next week with this approach. I would have fared better if my case didn't take two weeks to get to the embassy for some reason.

Congrats on getting it moved sooner! Did you have to give a reason to moving it up?

All the best next week!!!

We just got our CC on Monday, confirmed after calling NVC.

I haven't heard anything about the interview yet. No confirmation e-mail re: CC either.

So I guess our interview is probably going to be scheduled in November..I Wonder when we can land the U.S... probably not before the end of the year.

Such a long journey.....
