Yes, I have booked my medical in Chennai.

Medical appointment is very easy to get. The hospital told me that I could book 2 to 3 days before the appointment, but since I had to make train travel plans in advance to Chennai, I took out the appointment for October 7 today.

Still debating whether to do biometrics in Chennai or Mumbai :D

maybe this should be in a different thread.. has anyone waited more than 2 weeks to hear back after your case is approved for an expedite and arrives at the consulate.. The consulate in casa is not answering the phone at all during its alloted time which is only from 2-4 on tuesday and thursday. they also havent responded to any emails... I am beggining to think there is a serious problem at the consulate beyond my paperwork.. has anyone had luck with Casa recently?

I have asked the admins to move your question to its own thread so you can hit a wider audience and maybe get some answers.

I do know of many from varies embassies that waited 1 to 3 months to hear from embassy. Expedite doesn't always mean expedite. DR embassy is the worst for that one.

Got mine today for October 16 !!!!

I was expecting it to be sometime in late October or November.....

Time to hurry up and fix the medical appointment and prepare for the interview:D

hey guys ... my interview is on 1st oct ... People here in pakistan get into AP oftenly ...any tips how to get avoid from AP?

There is no way to avoid AP. There is no prep. For your country its mostly about name checking you and your family against the database. Some don;t even get AP. Some get very lengthy ones. I have 2 friends one was 4 1/2 years husband just got Visa this summer the other going on 5 years they are still waiting in AP.

So just pray no AP and just be calm and not think the worst.

Congratulations to the approved and letter/date receivers!

We haven't had any luck rescheduling the interview. Husband called the embassy number and they said they will only schedule K-visa interview dates. He then emailed them, but haven't heard anything back. I have to say the Helsinki embassy has let me down previously (made a mistake in one of my previous visas, and refused to correct it), so I probably shouldn't expect much from them. Keeping my hopes up tho, maybe they have hired some more competent people to work there in the last couple of years!
