Interview scheduled for October 30th!!!! Such a great week!

congrats girl!!!! was there something in particular that made you think its been scheduled or did you just call?

Approval letter: March 20, 14

Case received by NVC: April 7, 2014

Case #: May 5, 2014

AOS fee: paid May 9th,

DS 261: May 9th

AOS fee PAID: May 12th

AOS send: May 13th via overnight

AOS received per FedEx: May 16th

AOS received per NVC: May 20th

IV Fee invoiced/ paid: May 25

IV form received per FedEx: May 30

IV form received per NVC: June 3

AOS accepted: June 19

Hey guys, Just an update,

Finished my medicals and just back home. Absolute zero fuss about anything! Went on smooth except post immunizations, barely can lift my hand..lol.. Now that one thing is checked off the list, Off to biometrics tomorrow :)

Guys , did u all have ur married name in passport or still with ur maiden name? My passport is updated with my married name but front page is in maiden name. Interview letter states my maiden name as an applicant. Pls share. Thanks. Done with medicals but have to wait for the blood test result. Hope & praying all of ur medicals go smoothly. :)

I was able to reschedule my interview from October 27 to September 22!!

Although it was not as smooth to reschedule with the embassy in Tokyo, I still got what I wanted... I am so happy right now!!

Many more of you will be able get good news on your cases as well!!

Thanks so much for all the information you all shared on here!! It was very helpful, and I don't think I could have gone through this whole process wthout VJ!!

Hey,

carry your immunization records if you have, and also a copy of that record and copy of passport and 2 photographs.

I was able to reschedule my interview from October 27 to September 22!!

Although it was not as smooth to reschedule with the embassy in Tokyo, I still got what I wanted... I am so happy right now!!

Many more of you will be able get good news on your cases as well!!

We requested through the embassy website. There was a request form available, and it asked for my case number and DS260 confirmation number along with my other personal information.

They didn't really ask for a reason, so I'm guessing they reschedule as long as they have a spot available.

I'm not sure the same procedure works for all countries so you may wanna check your embassy's website.

That's one big tactical and stealthy advance you made... You must have Samurai blood in you!

Yes I was very surprised myself that embassy was nice enough to reschedule for this earlier date.

I hope your paperwork got to the embassy as well.
