Sorry for everyone else- Been super busy packing the old flat away! It's been quite a hectic week.. Interview is on Friday! Nervous wreck I am right now.

My wife got her visa and the sealed envelope today. On the sealed envelope there is a paper stapled on top that gives all of her details and on this paper there appears to be two errors: it lists her occupation as a registered nurse, when in fact she is a registered midwife. And second, it lists her alias as her first name plus my last name and the suffix "jr". I don't think this is correct, as the jr only applies to me. Do we need to call the embassy to have these things fixed and send the sealed envelope back? Or are they inconsequential? Please help. Thank you!

No, not pay again. Non-IV applicants may have to pay up the difference. IV applicants will pay the new fees only if they are billed beyond the announced date. We're done paying NVC since we have CC already.

The errors might also be reflected inside the envelope, in which case the POE data entry personnel might very well enter them in their systems. This could cause many issues down the road with GC and SS card. Better fix any errors with embassy if you could afford the time. Double check the Visa foil entries.

Check the spreadsheet. Most probably, any CC beyond the 14th (or the last day of the mid-month window of scheduling, it varies) will miss out on October.

This information has been a huge help, thank you to all involved.

We got case complete on 26 August and based on the current patterns we should be getting the interview date any day now. Does anyone know if these come through during the NVC's working hours or the Embassy's working hours, since we're 12 hours ahead of the NVC over here!

Any one can expect when can i get interview date. Embassy will have long weekend on October from 2nd to 6th. When can they schedule interviews??

Yes everything went so smooth...along with alot of political issues here...we werent even sure if embassy would be open since everything else is closed in islamabad..but alhumdolilah we got lucky..now lets see wen my hubby gets the passport...

Even though im in pakistan these days with him..he didnt take me to the interview cuz he said he would get all confused :p but at the end of the day everything worked out...
