I have a question

How long medical exams are good for before POE ?

my wife completed her medical exams back in april, her interview was supposed to be Aug 13th but the embassy keep telling her she will be asked to come in for an interview later. It's now been almost a month from the date NVC provided. I'm getting nervous as her medical exams are getting close to 6months in case she gets the visa in few weeks. I hope she will not be asked to do the medicals exams again before coming to the states.

Any info would help

Thank you all

for Frankfurt Consulate it is stated that the medical exams are good only for 6 months and that you have to enter the US during the 6 months after your medical exams and not your interview date. That is why they ask you to take your medical exams only when you know your interview date.... I hope she will get an interview and be able to fly to the US this month!

Thanks, that was the answer I was afraid to hear. she did it in April thinking we were going to do a fiance visa, but we decided to wait for NVC to process the immigrant visa. which they did, her interview was supposed to be Aug 13 but the embassy just taking their sweet time, now we're getting very close to the 6month mark.

No email/letter yet regarding interview for October 15th. Anyone got their interview letter or email yet?

No letter for us yet! that too for Oct 1st interview! I hate it when they give us barely any time to prepare and do medicals etc. We barely have 3 weeks and I hate doing anything rushed!

Finally the dark days are over. My best wishes for your new life in the US. We're not far behind.

Sooner or later the tide that hit NVC will spill over to the limited monthly interview slots at Consulates, and people will start to be pushed back to future scheduling rounds. I hope I'm wrong and it's too early to happen now, but it's inevitable.

A tell-tale sign is my case which was scheduled on Aug 29th and is still awaiting shipment to the Consulate.

Sorry if I missed your date of interview Mobar, which date is your interview now? :)

Congratulations to the approved :star:

Still no CC or Interview email here, CEAC shows 'at NVC'

I feel you I hate to rush into things, hopefully they send my husband his package soon so he can start with medical, but checked the ceac website it shows at NVC! why they do that!? shouldn't they have sent that to embassy already since we have a date? So frustrating, and I also heard that passports return are taking long, I hope not i'd like to have my husband here ASAP after interview :D
