Anybody receive a recent case complete from nvc from dominican republic? Guys do you already have your interview schedule?

Sooner or later the tide that hit NVC will spill over to the limited monthly interview slots at Consulates, and people will start to be pushed back to future scheduling rounds. I hope I'm wrong and it's too early to happen now, but it's inevitable.

A tell-tale sign is my case which was scheduled on Aug 29th and is still awaiting shipment to the Consulate.

CONGRATS TO ALL RECENT CCs, Interview Dates, & POE!! Can't wait to be in this thread in the future. Im just wondering if there have been any recent egypt interviews scheduled? Any estimates on waiting times for interview after cc?

Probably that's good. Did you check and recheck your spam inbox. If still not there just call NVC and ask them to resend.

dwheels76, I did call NVC, The lady herself was shocked about how the consulate called me. Because she confirmed the email has not yet been sent and expect it early next week, nor has my package been sent to embassy. She said the package is usually sent only after the confirmation emails are sent!

Still confused now how embassy called!..

I think its best I just not bother about it..hehe

Did our medical work this morning. Kids needed TB skin test. We adults did x-rays, VDRL blood test and two vaccinations; MMR and DT. My busy junction was altogether left alone. I guess I'm too old to be of value to the United States in that department.

dont worry, I felt just the same, when my papers were stuck at USCIS for almost 10 months! and now in NVC since 9 months.. I Think they liked my case

A big thanks to everyone here. It did help with some insight.

If anybody is wondering, I was interviewed at Montreal Consulate. About 2 hours of waiting. I showed up about an hour before the interview and it was a good timing as the ones too early where just waiting since opening for something to move.

I had about 15 questions. Some general, some more specific. It was very chaotic since the interview was broke down at 2 counters and mixed up with unrelated document gathering plus they where not calling applicants in order at the first counter so it keeps you on your toes. Small counter to search for document, gotta be organized and put any additionnal document far away as they are unlikely gonna ask for it.I didn'T have to pull out a single photo or supporting document. You also have to stay up the whole time at the counters which is not great for nervosity. Plus I found it hard to hear well the questions through the plexiglass micro system. Those not part of the sample of question in this forum: how long have you been together since your husband moved to the states; I see you are married since XX, how come you didn't apply earlier; for those not born in their applying country: when did you arrived in Canada(applying country);

Let's say it was quite the relieve. Ran to the bathroom to cry it all out for a good 10 minutes!

More than a year since we started this process. What a journey!

I could schedule my interview on September 2nd at last! I still have to go to the medical exam and it has to be done 2 weeks before the interview.

I have a full time job with a lot of time pressure. I will go to the doctor on September 9th and so I could only schedule the interview on September 24th.

I am so glad it is nearly finished. My husband too is so glad. I really hope the last two steps will go ok. I am very nervous for the medical exam!

For the ones who go through Frankfurt consulate, so that you know: they have accepted our translations which were done in the USA so not among the list of translators that they give on their website. In Germany, the translator asked me for 230 euros for all my French documents (310 dollars with the exchange rate of July)! in the USA it costs us 180 dollars only...

A last point, Frankfurt Consulate will never admit any mistakes they did (mistakes in address, names, saying they don't have the files even if they got it) and you cannot fight against this.

I have a question

How long medical exams are good for before POE ?

my wife completed her medical exams back in april, her interview was supposed to be Aug 13th but the embassy keep telling her she will be asked to come in for an interview later. It's now been almost a month from the date NVC provided. I'm getting nervous as her medical exams are getting close to 6months in case she gets the visa in few weeks. I hope she will not be asked to do the medicals exams again before coming to the states.

Any info would help
