We should never underestimate Lady Luck, wrecker of the best laid plans.

According to the CO, there is no need for a follow-up interview. Once I submit the document, the case will be revisited for the final decision. If approved... in a day or a thousand, I will be contacted to bring the passports. The document I have received already via email and it is digitally signed, so there is no such thing as an original. I just turned it in at the embassy a few minutes ago.

You guys are barking up the wrong tree! If only you knew how much I dislike making phone calls and being on hold...

4 calls a day is impressive! Between the redials and the hold time, that's probably close to 4 hours on the phone. I wonder if you can ask a phone rep to put you back on hold to speak to the next available rep without having to redial?

"No interview date yet? Ok. Could you kindly put me back on hold so that I may have the opportunity to ask the next available agent if we've been assigned a date in about 40 minutes time? Thank you and have a great day."

Everything you submitted or was submitted on your behalf to USCIS, NVC and embassy... and then some. Not to mention the online database systems the CO can access on his/her multi-screens. The DS-260 form in particular is brought up on screen, not printed out.

There was no need to send a new Police Certificate in. They had it. For some reason the first person to review my case didn't see it, or thought it was an old version, or something....I don't know. Once I spoke to the Supervisor she saw it was the correct form and marked my case complete when I was on the phone.

I read yesterday that the average person spends 2 months of their life waiting on hold on the phone. I had to laugh because all of us here probably surpassed that average by a lot after going through this process!!

Hello everyone!

I just spoke with the NVC rep and she told me that they are done scheduling interviews for October and they are now scheduling for November, although, it depends on the capacity of the consulate. Basically consulate advise them to schedule xzy amount of interview in one month, and she would not tell me how many have been scheduled up to now to get a sense of idea.

in conclusion, the call was not a total lost. We know that all of the interview appointment date will be in November 2014.

P.S. If anyone want to call the NVC I think this is a good time because I only had to wait 14 minutes before they connected me to the rep.

Just got off with nvc ..the guy was really nice ..but still no updates ..but one thing he gave me hopes to call back after 2 days ..for sure I ll be getting my interview date ..kinda surprised..

Holy crapoli! You have the patience of a saint! The longest I was on hold with NVC was about 58 minutes. Funnily enough, one of my shortest wait times was for my original interview date, and who did I get on the other line? Joy for the first time. haha.

Only 8 times? I can't even tell you how many times I called, especially when it came to finding out about CC and the interview date. Good luck if they start soon!! You know what to do to move it forward if they give you a craptastic date.
