Hi everyone! Okay, well I do not want to get everyone too excited here, but I just phoned the NVC (I really do not have any more patience, and just had to). The lady on the phone line said "I don't see anything yet," regarding my case. I asked if they have started scheduling November interviews, and she said, "yes we have started scheduling November." I am speechless and so excited. I hope good news is just around the corner for all of us hoping to get interviews in November. Good luck!

I just talked to Penny from NVC. She didn't have an interview date for me.

She also told me that they weren't scheduling any interviews yet.

She didn't know when they would start scheduling interviews.

I'll call them back on Friday evening to see if I have my interview date.

He will. It's normal human behavior to get slightly defensive after getting schooled at one's own job. We all do it. If he'd approved you on the spot after you corrected his mistake, it would have looked bad for him. He will approve you after you send the piece of paper he asked for. If he wanted to deny, he would have done so already.

I suspect the phone reps don't have a clue about when interviews are being scheduled or not. I don't trust anything they say on the subject aside from reading on their screen if we have an interview scheduled or not.

I knew it was too early to call! The only reason I called was I heard NVC had begun scheduling interviews.

At this point, there is absolutely nothing we can do but wait for our interview date.

I might wait until next Monday to call them again (unless someone officially gets an interview date by Friday).

Hi to you all,

We had our interview this morning, it was really a very lovely one, everything went smoothly right from the security up to the second floor where we had our document checked, but the woman checking our document told us that they could not locate our original marriage certificate, she tried to search but still couldnt find it. so she told us to sit down and wait till we hear our number, our number was K004, in less than 10 minutes we were called to Room 24, the woman was very lovely, kind with lot of smiles on her face, she pretty asked many questions regarding how many times we have met? our skype chat .. she even pointed out to some few places where we argued due to my husband not here and me getting mad because of this distance, she asked my husband how did we resolve it. she asked on how he proposed to me, she asked about questions regarding our two joint sponsors, she asked what did we do when we first met, my husband explained everything and what got her attention was about the food and so on,it was all like we are chatting, we were all laughing and it was a good four minutes full of everything. After that, she brought a form which says 221 g and she told us that they are sorry because they misplaced our original marriage certificate, she marked marriage certificate on the 221G , and she told us to go immediately to ZAGS and get another copy then she said we should give the marriage certificate to Pony express for them to deliver it to them. before we left the place.. i asked please ma are we approved, she said yeah but we need your original marriage certificate before we can issue your visa. she didn't give us my husband birth certificate back, she said once they receive the marriage certificate, everything will be sent back to us. So she collected the passport and give us her personal email, she told us to email her once we have sent it by pony express. we thanked her and left. it was really a very loving day. We spent 1hr 25 minutes in total at the embassy but the interview only lasted 4 minutes. tomorrow we will go to ZAGC to collect another marriage certificate and send it off on friday by God grace, I just cant wait for me to travel back with my husband. Today is a happy day for us

Awesome. I am so happy. And glad you are there where you got married and not having to run all over the world for a marriage certificate. Ughhh these people though.

Why can't we scan everything and bring to interview I am telling you/.

Congratulations my friend. So very happy for you. In 3 to 5 days you will have passport with Visa and you and hubby are US bond. Praise God.

Actually, I was thinking of creating a new VJ profile and posting tomorrow evening saying I am new and just got my interview date from NVC and they are scheduling November... Then waiting for you guys to call and report...
