NVC Filers - September 2014

Hi,

finally my IV fee was billed and paid. The DS-261 was approved on the 3rd so it took 7 days (5 business)

Now to get ready to do the Ds-260. I have lived in many homes so I am not looking forward to doing that part of the 260. It has taken quite a while to get all the dates and addresses organized. i will go over them again in the next few days as I wait for the 260 to become available

Hi,

I just got another e-mail from NVC telling me that my IV fee is ready to pay. The first e-mail was dated Sept 4 and this one was dated Sept 5. Interesting!

I just get really depressed right after the phone call cuz every time I call my husband asks me how it went and then he complains how I'm not aggressive enough with this process. Then he asks me to come visit him, which I can't due to work.

Ugh this is such a downward spiral. Which is why I stay holding off but inshAllah soon. Thank you so much soloenta, you're a sweetheart!

Oh Romii, I know exactly how you feel since all this started I might have called maybe ten times but don't think that many. Just hate calling them I get nervous like when I was a little girl WOW what a feeling of total lack of power. But we're here for you no worries.

Yes u r right. Miracles do happen but both me and my husband are feeling better now. He was very concerned because of me but now since I am out of the depression phase we are getting back to normal. Let's see when they review it. I just hope IV gets approved without problems inshAllah. I think our packages will be reviewed early next week. I wish u case complete soon and might as well an October interview!! Sending *hugs* to u back!

We were given a.checklist last sep 4 for our aos doc. Until now they havent send the email. How long should i wait? ?

You may never get one sweet heart better to call and ask them what they checklisted you for then send what ever they want ASAP. Will be praying it's a mistake and it's false, hey you never know.

Well..... my wife and I are devastated. She is in tears. Crushed. After surviving the USCIS backlog and 11 months in process both our IV and AOS packages were reviewed yesterday and we are getting a Checklist. I cannot adequately express our sadness at this time as it looks like it might be another Christmas separated.

And it's so frustrating of an error. Checklist on the AOS. Section 6, 13.A.1 Total Income. I really can't believe it. Something so basic. Something covered here countless times by many others. We used an attorney and he totally blew it by using line 37 instead of line 22 on the 1040. I pay some spousal support to my old ex which is the only difference in the 2 lines. But I'm crushed....it's my fault. Although she insisted on using an attorney her relatives "highly recommended" I never trusted him completely. I continually questioned him along the way and he seemed to know his stuff. Unfortunately I let my guard down and did not follow up on this one point to make sure he used the right number. Everything else was accepted. Just this one number doesn't match the tax return that was submitted right along side it. Kind of silly if you think about it.

We will likely get the stinging email in a day or two.

And given the ridiculous incompetence of our government offices and the NVC's inability to plan for this predictible backlog, this will cost Rosalit and I another two months waiting. This is the worst possible time to be checklisted by the NVC.

Sorry for the rant and thanks for listening. Congrats to everyone that have received their CC recently. Someday we hope to join you guys.

Well, I'm going to sign off of VJ for a while. I was here frequently the last 2 weeks as our 60 day wait was coming to pass. But now I can't bear to even think about this process any more for a while.

I'm so very sorry this happened to you and boy can I understand her saddness poor baby I feel her pain. I want to believe there is a reason for this that if this hadn't happened you would have gotten a horrible CO and put in AP but since this happened you wont. I know a stretch but one that keeps the hair on my head. I'll be praying all goes smoothly and quickly after this.

Got the invoice email July 21 and was able to pay July 23, for some Vjers the bill showed up few hours after the email. Things keep changing with NVC. The bill might show up any moment after the email. Just keep stucking the site.

Thanks for the reply soloenta. I thought everyone who got a checklist will receive an email. So u mean we may not receive the email on.which past of the aos is the error

I wouldn't trust them and some people get e-mails some don't. Even if they do you'll be ahead of the game send it out before you get the e-mail if they ever send one. Call have everything ready to go and if anything needs to be fixed, fix it and send. The quicker the better. . Your in my prayers.

Errors on the AOS? I sent three hahaha aaa two I filled out and totally messed up in so many ways and the last one that a beautiful angel helped me with and saved me from waiting here forever. I'm just not good at things like AOS at all. So I had ton's of errors. Really call .

Just called and talked to Yvette, she said our case is complete, just waiting for the interview to be scheduled, and they are still scheduling for October interviews!!!!

Paid still says Paid. lol

I was able to log in when I saw the e-mail. I had been checking all evening so I saw the e-mail almost as soon as I got it.

Thank you for your kind words. Its fine. It shall be what it will be. If you would look at the error it just makes me balk. Took only 30 seconds to fix it. and send it back.

oh well. No more expectations.

Lawyers make the mistakes most of the time. VJ taught me that, which is why when the lawyer prepared I-864, I insisted on having a look at it and there were blanks for previous years' incomes. I had gotten an RFE too, so you may say once bitten, twice shy. What was your error? I am so sorry it may cost you another 60 days, but let's hope not that long.
