Good timing as well... Someone got an interview scheduled today, so probably tomorrow the mid-month scheduling round will start in earnest.

Thank you! Luckily I was already playing hooky from work, so I had a nice little freak out moment in the comfort of my own home lol.

I have been saying my prayers that we would make it for mid-month scheduling, so let's hope you're right!!!

OMG OMG OMG CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!

Just called and talked to Yvette, she said our case is complete, just waiting for the interview to be scheduled, and they are still scheduling for October interviews!!!!

Paid still says Paid. lol

My scan date is July 24th, I'm not sure if I should bother calling them yet. Seems like they're on July 18th for now.

I wish there was another way to convince this heart of mine :cry:

July 22 here and I feel the same way, but hang in there just a little bit longer and if you have a strong feeling and you need to call then call what can they do, spank you? NOOOOOOOOOOOO so do what your heart asks you to.

Hi all,

I've been hanging around a very long time, since Sept 2013. We were at USCIS for 7 months. Our lawyers made a few errors at NVC (telling us checks were ok to pay fees when money orders required, entering wrong number for 2013 income on AOS). Our checklist response to AOS was received 8/29. I know my lawyer had me sign new form in blue ink so now I'm stressing about that.

Seeing potential new changes to NVC has me frustrated, as it looks like people who sent in packages after us may now be approved prior to us when their last document was received after ours. We thought we'd be together by Christmas but looking unlikely now. Hoping nvc speeds us for all of us that are still waiting.

@nicholeMariev, CONGRATS!! So happy for you. Also looks like Yvette is the bearer of good news today because...

My AOS packet was approved today!!! I had to ask twice because all she said was, "well your first packet, AOS, looks good" So I clarified, " So my affidavit of support was accepted?" She replied, "Yep, it looks good."Scan date July 17th. I know it is no CC, but I am so happy! For the benefit of others I filed I-864EZ and I wrote NA all over that thing, not a blank space was to be found. I included my last three years tax transcripts, a letter from my employer, and 6 months of pay stubs.

Good luck to all, it's been a good week on VJ so far. With my IV scan date of 7/22... maybe I'll even see a CC this week? Who knows, a girl can dream, right?

I think we are going to stick with the plan. My husband was incredibly uncomfortable with doing something that is a) a brand new process for an existing file and b) to do with our original documents. He doesn't want to take any risks and I understand that.

Does anyone know if the DS-261 saying "completed" is good and means IV bill might be invoiced soon? Sigh..

I would tell you but it's been so long I can't remember.

We were given a.checklist last sep 4 for our aos doc. Until now they havent send the email. How long should i wait? ?

I just get really depressed right after the phone call cuz every time I call my husband asks me how it went and then he complains how I'm not aggressive enough with this process. Then he asks me to come visit him, which I can't due to work.

Ugh this is such a downward spiral. Which is why I stay holding off but inshAllah soon. Thank you so much soloenta, you're a sweetheart!

Well..... my wife and I are devastated. She is in tears. Crushed. After surviving the USCIS backlog and 11 months in process both our IV and AOS packages were reviewed yesterday and we are getting a Checklist. I cannot adequately express our sadness at this time as it looks like it might be another Christmas separated.

And it's so frustrating of an error. Checklist on the AOS. Section 6, 13.A.1 Total Income. I really can't believe it. Something so basic. Something covered here countless times by many others. We used an attorney and he totally blew it by using line 37 instead of line 22 on the 1040. I pay some spousal support to my old ex which is the only difference in the 2 lines. But I'm crushed....it's my fault. Although she insisted on using an attorney her relatives "highly recommended" I never trusted him completely. I continually questioned him along the way and he seemed to know his stuff. Unfortunately I let my guard down and did not follow up on this one point to make sure he used the right number. Everything else was accepted. Just this one number doesn't match the tax return that was submitted right along side it. Kind of silly if you think about it.

We will likely get the stinging email in a day or two.

And given the ridiculous incompetence of our government offices and the NVC's inability to plan for this predictible backlog, this will cost Rosalit and I another two months waiting. This is the worst possible time to be checklisted by the NVC.

Sorry for the rant and thanks for listening. Congrats to everyone that have received their CC recently. Someday we hope to join you guys.

So sorry to hear your news. Our checklist was for the same thing. Except, my adjusted and total is the same number, so I have no idea what my lawyers put initially. I just know it's right now that I looked at the corrected copy. So very frustrating, hang in there! Edited September 10, 2014 by smile44
