I put a cover sheet on each item, with the name of the document and our Case Number/name on the upper right of the cover sheet. Then the original, then a copy of the original. All clipped together.

Before you send that packet, make a copy of the entire packet for yourself, so you'll know what you sent them.

Thanks SuzAug

Helllo All

What should be the sequence of docs for IV docs.

1) All Originals and then All Photocopies

Or

Original then photocopy of all docs.

Please suggest

Thanks

This is what mine looked like: Barcoded cover sheet, written cover sheet, original civil doc 1, photocopy of civil doc 1, translation of civil doc 1, original civil doc 2, photocopy of civil doc 2, translation of civil doc 2..... etc. I also put a sticky note on all the originals stating that they were the originals.

I don't think the order really matters that much though. I wouldn't stress about it.

TargetNovember14:

So when you sent the AOS and IV packages via email on july 10, you received no acknowledgement of receipt by NVC, until Sept 8? Did your lawyer receive any receipt by any chance?

I sent my AOS package via email sept 5, I phoned today to see if they receive it and the rep said she cannot see it on the system.

Just wondering how i am supposed to know that it was even received.

Actually the email said Sept 4, but I got it only yesterday. So yes i did wait for the actual Checklist. I didn't call them up before. Since I am also doing EP, and the correction was so minimal (mistake by my lawyer) that it took all of 30 seconds to fix it and send it back. I did call up NVC to confirm if everything else (we sent in our IV paperwork ) at the same time. And "Fiona" said yes everything else is fine. They will take 60 calendar days to review it. my lawyer called up this morning and spoke to the supervisor and they said the same thing. Oh well.

I know of one case that were EP from Canada about a month or two ago who had a checklist reviewed in less than two weeks. This was before the whole "60 calendar days" stuff and had the 30 business days on it. They also had a very small mistake. But i am not holding my breath.:diablo: . LOLOLOL!!!

Hang in there, this week is definitely your week. Looking forth to congratulate you.

Thanks EOC! I had actually given up calling (since it is pretty much just torture) since July 22nd, when I found out my IV was scanned in. But now that they are around my dates, I can't help myself. I keep trying not to get too excited and to expect no news at best and a checklist at worst, but finding out about a checklist will be devastating. Well, I can't change anything at this point, I just want to know. Time to be brave haha.

Dear All,

Going through my AOS for the 100th times I noticed that I might have made an error. It is on the Part 3 for the family member , I don't know how I missed the part that a family member with a separate petition should not be listed. I am planning to send another document right away. Do I need to send the whole package over again or just the corrected AOS with the barcode?. Please help.

I don't think lawyers should charge any fees when their clients get a checklist!

They were too lazy to double-check their clients' application, and their stupid mistake is costing their clients another 60 days. :dead:

That was ArthurandMarcela. Her lawyer's dumb secretary forgot to email the marriage certificate. So she got a checklist. She scanned and emailed her marriage certificate by herself and got a CC in 7-10 days. :star:

@nicholeMariev, CONGRATS!! So happy for you. Also looks like Yvette is the bearer of good news today because...

My AOS packet was approved today!!! I had to ask twice because all she said was, "well your first packet, AOS, looks good" So I clarified, " So my affidavit of support was accepted?" She replied, "Yep, it looks good."Scan date July 17th. I know it is no CC, but I am so happy! For the benefit of others I filed I-864EZ and I wrote NA all over that thing, not a blank space was to be found. I included my last three years tax transcripts, a letter from my employer, and 6 months of pay stubs.

Good luck to all, it's been a good week on VJ so far. With my IV scan date of 7/22... maybe I'll even see a CC this week? Who knows, a girl can dream, right?
