Usually just a few days. I called like a week or two after.... because your scan date isn't going to change.... and it's going to be quite a while before they review it.... so really, you could call next week or the week after that and it wouldn't make any difference.

Who knows, maybe you have a CC already. Someone got a CC without it changing to N/A. You can still call for peace of mind sake. Fingers crossed for you.

I would disclose the information because you're going to end up doing that anyway when you go to the SSA office

Are you moving right away or moving after a few months? If im not mistaken this is where your greencard, ss will be sent to. if you dont have a florida address ready then put in the aunts address.

I've been calling almost every day. I think starting today I might call them twice a day. I was on hold for so long this morning that my phone died lol. I will try again.

Ok, so since it seems like there's a lot of confusion on the "new process" and what to do, here's my two cents.

For those just getting to NVC, then the process will likely be (by the sounds of the updated NVC website):

-fill out DS-261 (once case number is assigned)

-have both bills invoiced around the same time, once the DS-261 is reviewed

-fill out the DS-260 once it's available

-once both fees are showing as PAID, send ONE package containing both the AOS and IV paperwork

-respond to any checklists

-case complete

For those already currently at NVC and halfway through the process, nothing is going to change. Still finish NVC as normal. If you want to send the IV package, do so at your own risk. Use the AOS cover sheet. (And for those doing this, please stop freaking out so much what address is used for the IV package, it will get routed to the correct department if you use the wrong one).

If it had changed then the Payment portal would have opened up for all of those who are waiting to pay their IV fees.

i really hope they have NOT changed their process for all of us currently halfway through the process, because then they are going to sit and wait to receive the IV Package, without reviewing the AOS Package,to review them together.

And that is throwing us back when get checklisted for the AOS.

For those new to NVC its a good thing, simply because it saves them time.

I think this new process is buying NVC time to work on current applications,simply by delaying new cases for a couple of days ,so they are able to work their way out of this backlog.

Hi All, I had a case complete as of last wednesday (confirmed by calling the NVC operators), however I have yet to receive an email from them confirming this. Also, my AOS fee never changed from "paid" to "n/a".

Did I miss the October interview cutoff?

No, things are moving fast at Islamabad embassy. I got interview date in less than 30 days after CC. All the best.
