Question regarding AOS fee 'PAID':

I paid AOS fee on Sept 3. On the payment portal, my account shows 'PAID', I am able to print a receipt. The amount has been debited from my bank account.

However on the other portal, the Immigrant Visa portal, The AOS fee however says N/A. (The DS-261 shows Completed, I did this also Sept 3).

Is this normal? Should I try to phone NVC regarding AOS fee showing N/A on the Immigrant Visa portal, but PAID on payment portal?

Paid still shows as Paid on CEAC. 53 days since our scan date. I'm getting so impatient but I hate calling them all the time....

Fedex says my documents (IV package) has been delivered to NVC. So how long do they take to scan it into their system? How long should I wait before calling them?

Does status of DS-261 gets changed on portal once its reviewed.

After how many days of DS-261 review do you get IV fee link

Do you need to wait for the IV fee to show as PAID or can you send IV docs as soon as cover sheet available

I think wait till friday to call them back..you should get the regular 60 days email before that

If this helps, I have been waiting since 2nd April 2013. My case took 9-10months at USCIS! and now another 9 months at NVC. Two babies you see!

Wow! It does help. It helps me realize that there is light at the end of the journey. I am so very glad you FINALLY have an interview scheduled. Praying the interview will go smoothly:-)

It usually takes them a day or two.

No, 30 business days and no, you can send it in as soon as the sheet is available.

Usually just a few days. I called like a week or two after.... because your scan date isn't going to change.... and it's going to be quite a while before they review it.... so really, you could call next week or the week after that and it wouldn't make any difference.

On September 9, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Is this different than being sent to NVC? Has anyone else been sent to DOS instead of NVC?

My AOS scan date is July 18, nothing yet........

I phoned and the rep said it is ok if the AOS does not show Paid but instead shows N/A on the IV portal, but shows as 'paid' on the payment portal.

I am not sure if she understood what I was trying to say. I asked twice.
