Hahahaha OMG yes same here and mine was first week of March 2013 for those zipping by and complaining. I know we all want to be with our loved ones no matter how long it has been, as it should be. I think I'm just tire and tired and sick of this whole thing. I'm trying to be strong but it seems we just can't catch a break. Happy I'm not the only one I was feeling horrible.

If your AOS turns from paid ot n/a then it means you got a case complete! Call nvc right now to confirm please. Noticed that you just sent your IV on august 9th so if you got a cc then the fuss is true that they're reviewing both packets together. Goodluck!

YayYayYay!!! We got our IV bill issued today! Paid and sending it off tomorrow, after 7 weeks and 6 days of waiting (since filing the DS-260).......

Yes, I absolutely understand and feel the same. It took almost one complete year just to get NOA2. THEN we are further delayed at the NVC stage. Like you, I have been hanging on since MAY 2013. Let me repeat MAY 2013! I used to say I laugh to keep from crying. Now, I cry to keep myself from laughing hysterically like somone having a nervous breakdown. I need to ask my family if I am hiding well or is the breakdown still peeking through where they can see it :-)

There is no easy way to say it so I wont try. Most of the people getting to this stage right now had smooth saling at USCIS, how long did it take most of us to reach this stage? I'm sorry but I want a ________ insert expletive, a break also. We keep seeing people zip on by who pretty much just started the process and complain how long it's taking to get CC and yet they get another break. I'm tired of it, I'm sorry I can't be happy for them. I don't want them to go through what we did but I just can't be jumping up and down with joy either. Sorry.

Work Hours

NVC only works Mondays to Fridays. They do NOT work on Saturdays, Sundays, or US National Holidays. And despite what you may see or hear, they unlikely work any overtime.

And keep in mind, emails are automated and delayed. So, if you receive an email on the weekend, it does NOT mean they are actually working on the weekend. It's normal for it to take awhile to receive emails from NVC.

maybe you are wrong !!!!!!!! they arent working monday to fridays !!!!!!!!!! and they work on saturdays and sundays !!!!!!!!!!!

We got our IV invoice today too! Our DS-261 was received 7/1814 and was approved on 9/2/14 (but they couldn't tell me that until 9/5/14).

Paid the invoice... Now just have to wait until the DS-260 is available to submit... and then wait some more!

I don't have a lot of hope, but I have a little hope that the one supervisor was right and both packages could be reviewed based on the AOS scan date instead of the IV package scan date! Here's hoping!

hey guys after paying my IV fee and printing my IV cover sheet,the address on the cover sheet is ATTN CMR and NOT DR so I sent my IV package to ATTN CMR. Will this affect anything?should I have sent it to DR?

Don't worry, I sent it to CMR too as my bar coded sheets says "Attn:CMR". Rep told me you can send it to either CMR or DR, not an issue. My paperwork will reach NVC tomorrow. I hope they scan it fast!!

Seems NVC has a new email address called asknvc@state.gov. I just got an email from it in reply to one I sent to nvcinquiry@state.gov on July 26th asking for my IV invoice. The email stated they've received my documents and to wait 60 days. No scan date though so I'll still need to call. Though I'm so very sleepy xD

How long is the email response lag now? Used to be around 30 days.

So is there any hope for people who are getting approved now (like me) to think that our spouses can join us by Dec/Jan? My first anniversary is in January and I'm praying that I can spend it with him here in US as it would be nearly impossible for me to go visit.

I'm assuming you just got your NOA2. I'm afraid it would be 6-8 months before you sit to your interview, unless you have a valid cause to successfully request an NVC expedite.

From what I have seen from other people who have sent both the AOS and IV packets at the same time is that they put the different packets in manila envelopes marked AOS or IV Packet respectively inside a larger envelope. Then just put the bar-coded cover sheet in front of both of the envelopes.

I had to call NVC today due to this new information on sending in packets. Spoke to Olivia. I asked about what to do if I have aleady sent in AOS packet but not yet the IV packet. She asked when I submitted the DS261 and then also asked if I had all documents for IV packet. I submitted the DS261 on 8-12-2014 and I do have all the documents for IV packet. She said she will put in for a review of DS261 and that I can go ahead and send in IV packet to Attn:DR instead of AOS CMR. She said I should expect the IV to be available to pay in the next few days and I could then access the DS260.

I know others have done this or at least discussed it but due to the recent developments I thought I would share that I am also embarking on this route. On my way to post office to send packet now.

Ok that makes sense! Even though the bar coded sheet says "Affidavit of Support" and "CMR:AOS"? I am in Australia so calling is really difficult, though I have sent an email to the new contact email. Hopefully they will answer overnight otherwise if they haven't, I will call in the morning my time and try to squeeze that in before work.

I do not mean to be rude (seriously I don't, I just know how this can come across on the internet!), but I did read the quoted post, and it did not mention anywhere anything about bar-coded sheets which is what I'm really worried about. It's a .pdf so I'm not sure how I am supposed to change CMR AOS to CMR/DR. I am sure you understand that I am sending (internationally) extremely precious original documents and them not being lost or discarded is a huge priority to me! You told me to read Saylin's wiki so I did and it didn't mention anything about the change (it's perfectly reasonable for this to not be reflected immediately, after all Saylin has a life!) which is why I was confused again after reading it! I'm trying not to be a pain in the butt here but it's really hard when I'm trying to do the right thing and everyone has a different opinion. I really appreciate your help I'm just trying to explain where I am coming from

My bad, it wasn't clear enough. I know you're overwhelmed with the sudden approval and knowing all about the NVC process. See, what you do is print out the AOS barcode sheet and white out the AOS in Attn: CMR AOS and use that barcode sheet for IV documents. Many seem to say that their IV barcode sheet was Attn: CMR.
