hey guys after paying my IV fee and printing my IV cover sheet, the address on the cover sheet is ATTN CMR and NOT DR so I sent my IV package to ATTN CMR. Will this affect anything?should I have sent it to DR?

Thanks!

ATTN CMR is the correct header. ATTN DR is for checklists. So you are fine :)

Perhaps I am dense but I don't see any place where it says how to send them in one package when you have only one bar-coded sheet. In fact, it says this: "Some people have been told by operators (or got the idea themselves) to send the IV package way before the IV bill is even invoiced. Although this may be feasible, I personally wouldn't recommend it."

I'm confused :( I have only the AOS bar-coded cover sheet. How can I send in two packages particularly if they're meant to go to separate places? I don't know what the right thing is to do, I just want to make sure we are doing this in the speediest fashion.

I don't want to tell you what to do because with this changing process it's probably best to call and get the advise of a rep or a supervisor. I however did send our AOS package before our IV package was invoiced so I put a barcode sheet from the AOS on the front of the IV package. Reps have said that it's the same barcode so it's ok to send it with that. I would clarify with someone where to send your package though.

All that being said, I think you should send them together. One envelope with AOS info, one with IV info, both with the same barcode sheet, then both packages in a bigger envelope!

Call them to get more info and good luck!

Please read what I quoted from seanimo, this is a new thing and Saylin will be updating her wiki later this week. You can use the barcode sheet of AOS, just change Attn: CMR AOS to Attn: CMR/DR. Some people say it's DR, that's what the NVC reps are telling but on the barcode sheet for IV it's Attn: CMR. To send both packages together, put all your AOS stuff in one envelope, IV in another and put both of these in a larger manila envelope.

From what I have seen from other people who have sent both the AOS and IV packets at the same time is that they put the different packets in manila envelopes marked AOS or IV Packet respectively inside a larger envelope. Then just put the bar-coded cover sheet in front of both of the envelopes.

We got our IV invoice today too! Our DS-261 was received 7/1814 and was approved on 9/2/14 (but they couldn't tell me that until 9/5/14).

Paid the invoice... Now just have to wait until the DS-260 is available to submit... and then wait some more!

I don't have a lot of hope, but I have a little hope that the one supervisor was right and both packages could be reviewed based on the AOS scan date instead of the IV package scan date! Here's hoping!

Finally! Congratulations! 1 more thing (DS-260) then you're good. Hope we wont be checklisted. Let's hope for our speedy cc! Ayeee???

Btw, we got the same date at the 60 day email?

Ok that makes sense! Even though the bar coded sheet says "Affidavit of Support" and "CMR:AOS"? I am in Australia so calling is really difficult, though I have sent an email to the new contact email. Hopefully they will answer overnight otherwise if they haven't, I will call in the morning my time and try to squeeze that in before work.

I do not mean to be rude (seriously I don't, I just know how this can come across on the internet!), but I did read the quoted post, and it did not mention anywhere anything about bar-coded sheets which is what I'm really worried about. It's a .pdf so I'm not sure how I am supposed to change CMR AOS to CMR/DR. I am sure you understand that I am sending (internationally) extremely precious original documents and them not being lost or discarded is a huge priority to me! You told me to read Saylin's wiki so I did and it didn't mention anything about the change (it's perfectly reasonable for this to not be reflected immediately, after all Saylin has a life!) which is why I was confused again after reading it! I'm trying not to be a pain in the butt here but it's really hard when I'm trying to do the right thing and everyone has a different opinion. I really appreciate your help I'm just trying to explain where I am coming from :)

From what I have seen from other people who have sent both the AOS and IV packets at the same time is that they put the different packets in manila envelopes marked AOS or IV Packet respectively inside a larger envelope. Then just put the bar-coded cover sheet in front of both of the envelopes.

@SharksBelow! Hang in there! It's so confusing/scary/frustrating preparing to send these precious documents and wanting to do it right! But you are doing the right thing in being so diligent and asking questions. That's all you can do. Ask people here, at NVC, Saylin, etc. whoever you need to ask to feel best about it. Then send it off!

When people talk about "changing" the CMR to DR or something it just means changing the address you send the package to. The barcode goes inside the package on top of all of the papers and it has an address on it, which is where you would be sending the AOS package. But like you said, it's a PDF and you can't change that. When I sent my IV package with the AOS barcode sheet, 4 reps told me to change the "Attn" in the address on the package (not on the barcode sheet itself) from "Attn: CMR/AOS" to "Attn: DR"

Hope that helps!

Omg I could hug you! That helps so much!

Okay so the cover page is the exact same page that I put on the front of the AOS package, just in different envelopes? And one envelope has "ATTN: DR" (for IV) and the other has "CMR/AOS" for AOS? And the two packages get sent together inside the same mailer?

Also I just noticed that my DS-261 now says "completed", I hadn't been paying attention to that, does it mean we might get IV bill soon?
