OK! I'm going to have to stop you guys right here before another rumor of NVC working on Saturdays starts! LOL :rofl:

Work Hours

NVC only works Mondays to Fridays. They do NOT work on Saturdays, Sundays, or US National Holidays. And despite what you may see or hear, they unlikely work any overtime.

And keep in mind, emails are automated and delayed. So, if you receive an email on the weekend, it does NOT mean they are actually working on the weekend. It's normal for it to take awhile to receive emails from NVC.

*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

They told me mine was approved thursday and still waiting.

Hahahaha OMG yes same here and mine was first week of March 2013 for those zipping by and complaining. I know we all want to be with our loved ones no matter how long it has been, as it should be. I think I'm just tire and tired and sick of this whole thing. I'm trying to be strong but it seems we just can't catch a break. :) Happy I'm not the only one I was feeling horrible. :D

Oh My G - GUYS - GOOD NEWS FOR ALL OF US!!!

I don't know if this is 100 percent true but I just spoke with Sylvia (supervisor) she said that the new process do affect current packages. Once they get to one of your package, they are also pulling any other package you may have in the system to review them together. It seems to be faster. NOW LETS SEE IF THIS IS TRUE.....THIS WOULD BE AWESOME NEWS FOR ALL OF US!

Also, the date they are going by is whatever date is listed in that 60 day email they received.

IF THIS IS TRUE - OH GOD!!! Praying time....

I wonder if this applies to checklists as well. We have one scanned on 22nd July and one scanned on 29th August. Can't even bear to think there may be good news around the corner.

Why is it taking NVC so long to invoice the IV fee? Last year the wait between submitting the choice of agent form and the IV invoice was a couple of days, now it's taking at least one month. I submitted my DS-261 on August 7 and haven't received the IV invoice.

guys before i have a mild heart attack here please help me I keep readiing that when the aos changes from paid it could be a case complete????? or does it just mean the aos is completed and approved???? i just checked and before i say anything to hubbie i needed to know if my hopes are mislead please

If your AOS turns from paid ot n/a then it means you got a case complete! Call nvc right now to confirm please. Noticed that you just sent your IV on august 9th so if you got a cc then the fuss is true that they're reviewing both packets together. Goodluck! Edited by Lyndon
