RobbieG that is wonderful news! So happy for you. . . .Not sure if you read that there might be a new process where both packages are to be mailed in together (in our case, I think we have EP) and they are going to be reviewed together? I really really hope this is true so we spend less time in NVC and move out of here quickly.

Unfortunately, we might be subject to the new increased fees <_< but even that doesn't matter to me as long as I can get out of NVC as quickly as possible! . . . now you just have to wait for DS-261 to become available. Best of luck to you and thanks for keeping us in the loop!!

Also, just observing, that your case was received before the 5 weeks they quoted me after NOA2. YAY! That's also good news for those of us waiting . . . .

Just seen your ship date to NVC - about the same as ours - Let's hope for good news and we move out of NVC together quickly :dancing:

Hi,

My DS-261 was reviewed last Wednesday the 3rd. Just now I went onto the payment portal and it said data base error. I sure hope that that means that they are updating it for me and the IV fee will be ready to pay soon.

When I talked to NVC earlier this morning they said that it could take up to 5 business days to see the IV fee.

Good afternoon everyone!!

1. I am following Saylins wiki and I have to wait for actual checklist email has anyone sent the corrections without checklist? Have you had any issues if so?

2. My checklist was for part 6 13a of AOS i placed adj income and not total. The checklist is for 2013 but I noticed 2012 and 2011 are also wrong should I correct them to not have issues for another checklist or should I only fix what they asked for???

Anyone please that has had this same issue.

Thanks to all

I had the same issue and received a checklist, I found out it is a common mistake. Yes I would suggest going ahead and sending in the correction as soon as possible.

I had to call NVC today due to this new information on sending in packets. Spoke to Olivia. I asked about what to do if I have aleady sent in AOS packet but not yet the IV packet. She asked when I submitted the DS261 and then also asked if I had all documents for IV packet. I submitted the DS261 on 8-12-2014 and I do have all the documents for IV packet. She said she will put in for a review of DS261 and that I can go ahead and send in IV packet to Attn:DR instead of AOS CMR. She said I should expect the IV to be available to pay in the next few days and I could then access the DS260.

I know others have done this or at least discussed it but due to the recent developments I thought I would share that I am also embarking on this route. On my way to post office to send packet now.

I'm just using my passport as a tourist. Wonder if I should get a visa at this point that says I am temporarily in mexico? Thank your for responding. This truly helps a lot!

Does your wife have a tourist visa?

Put US then.

My wife had a spousal visa that would have to be renewed next year, conditional but we are not renewing it :)

We've just received an email from the nvc to say the ds261 is reviewed and the IV bill is available to pay finally. We submitted the ds261 on July 12th.

Just logged in and checked and it's not available on the payment portal yet but I'm assuming it will be very shortly thank god!

Seems NVC has a new email address called asknvc@state.gov. I just got an email from it in reply to one I sent to nvcinquiry@state.gov on July 26th asking for my IV invoice. The email stated they've received my documents and to wait 60 days. No scan date though so I'll still need to call. Though I'm so very sleepy xD

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Ah, yes, just looked it up: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

Maybe they were getting too many emails at the old one and it imploded or something

*reads backwards through the thread* ugh, so typical to let things fester for four months before taking action and changing their broken process. Whatevs. They've approved my AOS already so I guess for those of us at the same stage as me, it's an irrelevant change.

Hello guys, so I just relieved my checklist for the AOS package.

My scan date for both AOS and IV packet was July 10, doing EP. I am copying what I got from them. SO the only problem in the AOS package is item 10. Correct?

According to my lawyer he says its a mistake -- he neglected to add 0 for your other household members' income to your income and fill in the box with the total. I know its a problem, but i want to understand that the checklist we submit is the correct one. I just want to understand if that is the true problem? I don't want tog et another checklist again for AOS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if I am eligible to use form I-864EZ? Here are the requirements:

(a) I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this form -- YES, I am

(b) I am only using my own earned or retirement income -- (I am using my annual salary as my basis for the petition -- would this be a YES?)

© The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition -- YES, he is the only person immigrating

Thank you!
