I just spoke to Nikki at NVC. She said both my AOS and IV are "under review" so no news yet, even though AOS scan date is 7/17 :(

I also asked if they would review the packages together, or separately in the order they arrived. (In my case it doesn't make much difference, but for other VJers) she said they review packages in the order they come, so the AOS will be reviewed first.

So no matter how many pieces we send our packages in. they will be reviewed at the same time, provided they haven't been initially reviewed?

I guess we'll have to wait and watch, one case I saw that documents sent later (IV) were pulled out to review with the earlier sent documents (AOS) and in another case earlier sent documents (IV) were not being reviewed and was told would be reviewed with later sent document (AOS checklist).

Crisarria is from Canada ans is doing EP. So it may be easier for NVC to review both AOS and IV packages together. Maybe they searched case number using MS Outlook?

However, I wonder how it works when someone sent AOS and IV packages separately by mail. :huh2: As far as I know, they can't sort through mail because it takes too much time.

When someone gets expedited, they still have to wait for their packages to be reviewed before their interview date (or bring another set of documents so the embassy/consulate can review them at the interview) because NVC can't look for their package.

Perhaps that is why NVC is now asking to send both packages together, not sure what they will do with the ones already received. The other case I read of, their IV was to be reviewed when NVC would receive the AOS checklist.

Good afternoon everyone!!

1. I am following Saylins wiki and I have to wait for actual checklist email has anyone sent the corrections without checklist? Have you had any issues if so?

2. My checklist was for part 6 13a of AOS i placed adj income and not total. The checklist is for 2013 but I noticed 2012 and 2011 are also wrong should I correct them to not have issues for another checklist or should I only fix what they asked for???

Anyone please that has had this same issue.

Thanks to all

I have not had the same issue and don't hope to receive a checklist but I will try to answer your questions.

1. If you are absolutely sure about what the checklist is for and there is nothing else, then send it off ASAP with the barcode sheet. VJers have sent in corrections as soon as they realized they made a mistake without even waiting to get checklist for it.

2. Anything else needs to be corrected, please correct it now as there's such a thing as a second checklist and you don't want one .

Great thanks for helping me out. I am sure I have called 4 times and they all said the same thing. I think i will risk it I have a supervisor who will review the birth certificate since they say they dont have and i included and I am hoping they will see this correction at same time and see it all together like they did my AOS and IV package.

I called NVC today.

I spoke to Yvette.

Our case was received 9.4.2014.

I was on hold for 28 minutes.

RobbieG that is wonderful news! So happy for you. . . .Not sure if you read that there might be a new process where both packages are to be mailed in together (in our case, I think we have EP) and they are going to be reviewed together? I really really hope this is true so we spend less time in NVC and move out of here quickly.

Unfortunately, we might be subject to the new increased fees <_< but even that doesn't matter to me as long as I can get out of NVC as quickly as possible! . . . now you just have to wait for DS-261 to become available. Best of luck to you and thanks for keeping us in the loop!!

Also, just observing, that your case was received before the 5 weeks they quoted me after NOA2. YAY! That's also good news for those of us waiting . . . .

Wait, when was this updated?? If we have to send both packages together then it makes it harder to coordinate the civil documents with petitioner as one is all petitioner (AOS) and one is beneficiary (IV)

Confused as I'm waiting to send the AOS package. Now I'm thinking if I should wait to send both together :/

Although the 15 days to process is def not true

Its on travel.state.gov as of today ! But im not sure when they actually start this, maybe they will after september 12.

Today is my 30th BUSINESS DAY! Where is my damn CC?:rofl::rofl:

Oh, I forgot.... It's now taking up to 60 CALENDER DAYS... :bonk:NVC employees, WAKE UP!

Hope youll get CC soon , like TODAY !!!! Praying for that

I have a question regarding question #5 on page 3 of the I-864 and the questions regarding the sponsor's information. Here's the breakdown:

I currently live in Mexico (Tijuana) with my husband but I cross the border into the U.S. everyday for work (M-F) and on some days for work & school (my school is also in the U.S.). I pay a lady monthly rent basically to rent me her address so I can have a place where all my mail is delivered. I am going to be the only sponsor for my husband. Here are my concerns:

In regards to question #5 on page 3 where it asks Country of Domicile, can I put USA? My work, school, legal docs all have the US address I rent but I am not sure if this is different.

In regards to the section where it asks for the sponsor's mailing address & place of residence, can I also put my US address?

Thank you for any advice! (Sorry for the double post but no one responded to my other one). Thanks again!!

Hi everyone,

Im new and I have an question. My iv package was delived to nvc on June 26th, on July 11th, I got a checklist for my aos. Resent aos documents July 22nd. Called nvc today and was told my iv package havent been viewed as yet (71 days) and I have to wait until the 60days from the date of my aos last scan for everything to be viewed. Is this true? Or should my iv package have already been reviewed?

Thanks in advance

hi, I was talking about your post, seems like there are going to be a few changes at NVC, they are now going to review all documents together.

2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.

My wife put USA for her country of domicile even though she is in the UK with me for almost 2 years (leaving in a week now though!).

No issues seems to come up, plus what you're doing, it's not like you really gave up your US residence. Your job is in the US, you are going to school in the US.. Are you on any type of visa for Mexico, or are you just using your passport as a tourist?

I'm just using my passport as a tourist. Wonder if I should get a visa at this point that says I am temporarily in mexico? Thank your for responding. This truly helps a lot!

Does your wife have a tourist visa?
