Guys my AOS scan date is 31st July... I did not receive the 60 day review time email from NVC...

Has anyone else with a scan date between 25th to 31st July received the 60 day email? Concerned if I am the only one left out?

Yes, my scan date is July 29 and I received an email after my AOS package and not one after the IV package. They told me 60 day review periods is for any package they receive right now.

Hi all. My wife and I met online in Nov. 2013 and were married in Jan. 2014. We hope to have an interveiw in Nov. or Dec. Do you think that we will run into a problem when we have interview because of the short time we knew each other before marriage????? If so what can we do???

Depending on whether your spouse comes from a high-fraud country or not, I would suggest you gather plenty of evidence to prove your's is a genuine relationship.

I have interview scheduled on October 7th and I'm little worry about domicile. My wife USC living with in India when we married from October 2013. We have submitted all AOS packed including domicile as she is not currently living in US, we submitted driving licence, latest bank statements, credit card statements, voted Id, recent mails to intended address and my father in law is my joint sponsor. As may of them saying like we need to have rental aggrement and when we go to US my father in law is taking care of US. So what needs to bring when attending to interview.

Please vj friends get me out of this worries.

Oh My G - GUYS - GOOD NEWS FOR ALL OF US!!!

I don't know if this is 100 percent true but I just spoke with Sylvia (supervisor) she said that the new process do affect current packages. Once they get to one of your package, they are also pulling any other package you may have in the system to review them together. It seems to be faster. NOW LETS SEE IF THIS IS TRUE.....THIS WOULD BE AWESOME NEWS FOR ALL OF US!

Also, the date they are going by is whatever date is listed in that 60 day email they received.

IF THIS IS TRUE - OH GOD!!! Praying time....

Were you able to get the IIN and BIN along with the case number?

Was the DS261 readily available when you had your case number?

Isn't it terrible Molly we were screwed each and every step of the way. Just isn't fair, I'm sorry just isn't, we deserve a break now more than anyone else.

OMG ok in that case I take it back. YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Hadn't thought about it in that way.

I think you are right Soloenta! Each step gets better and faster AFTER our case! Grrrrr..... Well, at least people after us will have an easier time. Thank God for that!

ok so I called NVC to give my email address and see if my DS 261 has been accepted. He went through my name, wife's name, her email and phone address.

Then he went through my info and even stated my gmail account I putt on the 261 form. Prior to today I have not called to give my email, nor my wife. Only my wife had received the AOS fee invoice info and when it was paid not me.

So the only place I did put my email was on the 261 form. I then asked him if my form has been accepted, he said not yet. How can my email be updated on their end without me giving it but my form not be accepted?

any ideas/thoughts guys?

I would love the IV fees before this friday!!!

Im so excited... my fee has changed to N/A... going to call NVC now!

Scan dates:

14th July - FedEx delivered package

15th July - Scan date in 60 day email

17 July - Initial scan date quoted before 60 day email arrived

Did you guys know there was a $165 immigrant fee to pay before you can come to the US after the visa or is this new?

That fee has been around since February 2013. Perhaps you should read my wiki as well as USCIS's website? I've mentioned it in my wiki...

Those of you who have sent IV package please tell me where did you get the police certificate from? police station or passport office? can they accept the police certificate at the interview time? please help

if your passport issued within 6 months then the PCC from passport office is enough otherwise u need to get from both passport office and district police chief ( I sent both).but u pls confirm this with NVC or an immigration expert.PCC from passport office will get in a day and from SP in a week time

They must collect information from the USCIS forms or something because something like that happened to me. My DS 261 took a long time to review and I spoke to a supervisor she said, she was going to follow up on it and give me a call. I guess she called my phone and since I was at work, I did not notice that, instead of leaving a voice-mail, she called me at work WHICH I DON'T EVER REMEMBER GIVING THEM. My boss picked up the phone and said, this is something about a visa, I think it is a prank or some kind of marketing for you. Then I answered the phone just to find out it was the National Visa Center, my boss was standing right next to me, so I just was like ok - thank you very much and hang up the phone when she finished.

I pray you get your fees soon!

We need to send our phone records?? Lol we talk til 4-5 am..we talk for at least 8-9 hours a day.. when and where do we send that??

You need to send any proof with your IV package because I've read sometimes the consular officers already decide about a case before the interview. Also, carry the proof to interview.

I went through all the forms i sent to USCIS and nowhere did i put my email. I suppose we will find out soon if my 261 has been accepted.

They told me the same thing. I had sent 3 packets with scan dates 29 Jul , 23 Aug and 2 Sep. They said it will take 60 days and each package will be reviewed one by one.

that is such a wonderful news. You made my day!! Prayers do work...I wissshhhhhhhhhhh that is true and It actually makes sense reviewing both packages together ....If this change affects us too like the supervisor told, then probably well move out of this hell faster
