I don't know how you guys are handling it, I'm still waiting for IV fee to be posted to be paid. This process is taking so long its effecting me emotionally in so many ways. I can't eat or work properly, I miss the wife so much right now, I'm waking up crying in the middle of the night. I know it sounds funny coming from a guy, but I've never felt like this my entire life up till now. I try hitting the gym even harder and many other activities but it's just not helping.

Maybe visit your wife? I miss my husband too and we let almost two years of marriage go waste thinking any day now my visa will be approved and I will be with him, but our process has run into problems. Time lost in this process is lost forever.

Yes read two nice ones but the beneficiary was Christian and yes we need to prepare our husbands sad to say it should be natural not prepared. I mean prepared as to hopefully keep them calms so they don't tear the plexy glass down to strangle them.

Just shooting the breeze on a quiet Sunday morning. Wondering whether NVC have taken so long the past two weeks to get through 7th to 11th July maybe because they had so many packages that they had to scan in on the 7th and that week after the 4th July weekend? Hopefully we see some faster movement this coming week.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone and I hope that we can all hear some good news this coming week.

Even I want to believe that there were a lot of packages for July 7-11 and that's why it took two weeks for those scan dates or maybe the reviewers went on a strike. But for now I hope and believe that NVC will pick up speed.

Yes, last night I went onto the NVC website and saw the new bits about sending just one package. I'm going to wait and see how the changes come before spending a lot of time updating the wiki. Not to mention I've got last-minute planning to do and then my vacation starts this Saturday So, I'll update the wiki once I get back, after the 21st.

As to those wondering if your case will be delayed cause you sent (or will send) in 2 packages, don't worry. It'll probably take a couple of weeks before NVC switches over to this new system of processing, so you're fine. Take a deep breath in and let it out.

I got one for IV apparently they the need the Arabic version of our marriage certificate , we sent the English one which is also certified with all the stamps. Hubby sent it august 20th . Best of luck to you !

This new process is not necessarily bad if they will review the DS 261 in a week or two! I actually reduce the packaged load by 2! Which will create faster processing !!!

The best thing would be to release both fees at one time then ask for both package in one!

Yes, it makes sense to send AOS and IV documents together.

However, you won't be able to send the AOS package while waiting for the IV fee invoice so you'll probably end up waiting longer if you get a checklist for the AOS package.

In other words, you'll wait for up to 60 calender days for the IV fee invoice; then, send your AOS and IV documents and wait for another 60 calender days. If you're lucky, you get a CC in 120 days (4 months) from getting your case number.

If you get a checklist, you'll wait for another 60 calender days (total of 180 days or 6 months). If you get a second checklist, you'll end up waiting for 8 months at the NVC stage. Getting stuck at NVC for 8 months would be a crime!

Edit: I see a sentence: "Please allow 15 days for the NVC to process your DS-261 before continuing to the next step." http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/Step_1_Choose_an_agent.html Maybe you'll receive the IV fee invoice in 15 days from filling out the DS-261? If so, it'll definitely save a lot of time! I had to wait for 40 days for the IV fee invoice.

I think you're quite right. As long as I see the website, they seem releasing AOS and IV fee invoices at the same time. Not only there is no process between those two invoice payments but also it makes more sense in the new process. It doesn't really matter whether we pay for one or two invoices, but I believe they're keeping separate invoices for their account processing purpose only. The difference would be like;

Old process:

Release AOS fee invoice and DS-261

Release IV fee invoice after DS-261 is reviewed

New process:

Release DS-261

Release AOS and IV fee invoices after DS-261 is reviewed

It'll be so much faster for those that follow the new process and seems unfair for those including myself that AOS documents were reviewed independently even thought IV documents had been already received by that time. Unless they justify that difference by increased fee. You might as well call and challenge a supervisor saying "Mine should've been done by now in the new process. So please review my documents today!"

Did you guys know there was a $165 immigrant fee to pay before you can come to the US after the visa or is this new?

i submistted the DS261 on 20th AUG the adress was US adress but the name was binificary not petitioner how i will correct the name without resubmitted again ?

Just leave it, it's a form simply asking who will pay fees. I don't think it matters whose name is mentioned. Anyone can correct me if wrong.
