Hehehehehe right backatcha baby doll! ;)smileys-embrace-hug-431475.gift5063.gifsmileys-embrace-hug-431475.gif

I lost my second job just today. Unfortunately my current income doesn't meet the income threshold since I only got one job. What am I going to do now? Can this affect the process? Btw, I got a joint sponsor.

Don't know how I missed your post, so very sorry about your job but I'm sure you will be just fine if your sponsor makes above the poverty line. Others that know more than I do will come by to help you soon please be patient. :Dsmileys-embrace-hug-431475.gif

For obtaining Police certificate for immigration visa purposes in India, a letter of embassy or NVC is required by Passport office. How to get it. Or can we use AOS or IV fee receipt as a demand letter.

I dint need anything. Just went to the online passport seva portal, filled the form, when to the passport office and got it done. Mine took longer than a month as I had not changed my maiden name and added my spouses name in the passport. Otherwise it is way faster, and even heart you get it on the spot. Good luck!

Now I am starting to really worry - my husband keep asking me when this nightmare is going to be over and I said, we will know in 60 days love. But now I am not so sure, when I did AOS package, I really did not pay attention to all these AOS details people are posting. I simply had a simple form in front of me and follow that sample form to fill mine out. As far as the IV package, I did not sent no police certificate #1 - because when hubby when to get it done, they said he needed to have the embassy letter in order to do do and second, my brother does immigration paper said not to worry about it just send everything else. SHOULD I BE WORRY ABOUT CHECKLIST?

hello all

I hope we see lot of progress this month. I am heartbroken for all those of us that are stuck at NVC for one reason or another my prayers goes to all of you.

gods willing sooner rather than later. NVC had my case since July 11th 14, submitted ds 261 July 18, 14. And AOS paid same day, AOS pkg sent July 25, 14.

I am still waiting for IV fee to be unloked hopefully before the increase.

MoBar65, I suspect you're pulling some Austin Canada detective work with that theory. :) :) :) Only checklists filed by attorneys and scanned at NVC during a week end by someone working over time get quick reviews. Austin, I'm only joking! :) :) :)

Seriously though, I'm guessing most checklists responses are sent with a checklist cover sheet. It looks like the vast majority of them are taking a full review cycle (30 business days and now more) to get picked up and looked at.

But if you're still take a poll: I sent mine with the checklist coversheet and addressed to "ATTN: DR" as requested.

Stranger things happened... I once had a laser printer that worked flawlessly except around 10:00 every morning. Around that time it would give totally washed out printouts. It took me weeks to realize that the morning sun washes over it about that time just at the right angle.

I can't answer definitively, my checklist is at 21 business days since they received it, sent with checklist cover sheet... however, last week I did receive a false checklist for the checklist response, when they reviewed the IV docs, and it said "After you mail or transmit the requested information, allow 30 business days for us to review your response" in spite of the fact that the non-checklist-specific e-mail I got after I sent the package in said 60 days... it's possible that they just haven't updated the wording on their form letters, but that would seem to defeat the purpose of all the efforts they are making to tell everyone 60 days for EVERYTHING. Have others gotten letters like that?

I would guess stackeria is close to 30 business days?

oh WOW Your signature is .... so sad! I am sorry it has been so slow for you! I am keeping my fingers crossed it goes SUPER fast from here on!

It was not much of a journey, more of a standstill and it was as if our hands and feet were tied; we could do nothing. I have had the worst ordeal at USCIS, only got lucky at NVC because of the lawyer and because I had my IV package all ready and sent to US in March itself. Now we wait for CC, hopefully this month.

Summary Information

To process your case, you must first pay any required fees. Then, each applicant accompanying the principal applicant to the United States will need to complete the online IV Application (form DS-260). The IV Application may be partially completed and finished later, or may be completed at one time. However, once submitted, please contact the NVC if you need to update the form.

After submitting the DS-260, mail all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) for each applicant to the NVC.

Once received, it will take the NVC 2 to 4 weeks to review your case. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicants agent).

REALLY !!! It will take them 2 to 4 weeks ???

Happy September everyone-- joining everyone else in wishing that the process will become faster and more efficient.

I have a question-- perhaps it's very basic, or belongs in another forum, but thought the helpful folks here would at least be able to point me to where to find the answers.

I am waiting for a CC at NVC for my husband's case, hopefully coming this month. Because the process has been so long, and I found a reasonable price on airfare, I will be taking our baby son to Vzla so we can both spend some time with his dad... fingers crossed I am hoping perhaps we can all come back to the US together. But I will definitely be taking advantage of this trip to take my husband any documents needed for the interview.

So the question is, what exactly will he need to take to the interview? I have seen some say a copy of absolutely everything submitted. Is that overkill? I know that sometimes embassies are security conscious and limit what can brought in as well, such as no information on cd's. et cetera.... do the documents needed vary depending on the embassy? I looked at the embassy info for Caracas, but most of the information seems to be for k-1 visas.

Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

Yeah, I know, I saw that too. It still seems like it would be easier to update a letter, especially as they have to fill in the case specific information anyway... also the letter comes with a date, I have a letter dated August 27th saying it will take 30 business days... who knows, really.
