Please use the one that the cover sheet has, they have changed the address since last month for the IV package to be CMR as well.

Hi everyone,

Im new and I have an question. My iv package was delived to nvc on June 26th, on July 11th, I got a checklist for my aos. Resent aos documents July 22nd. Called nvc today and was told my iv package havent been viewed as yet (71 days) and I have to wait until the 60days from the date of my aos last scan for everything to be viewed. Is this true? Or should my iv package have already been reviewed?

Thanks in advance

It should be no. Because U.S citizen don't immigrate, they move. I stand to be corrected.

Hi,
I have sent Civil Docs to NVC. I have question about birth certificate.
My Details:
We sent original BC (in regional language) to NVC and also sent the translated version.
The translated version is also issued by issuing authority (i.e. Birth and Death registration authority). So we did not translate with any other person.
The translaterd version has Seal and sign of issuing authority (Rubber stamp). This translated version also has stamp "Translated Version" (rubber stamp).
This is the way the authority issues translated version.
I have already sent this to NVC in first week of Aug.
NVC Says :
"All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations.
The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the:
-Translation is accurate, and,
-Translator is competent to translate."
My Questions:
-The translated version I sent has stamp "Translated Version" on it but it doesn't have statement specified by NVC because it was issued by issuing authority only.
Q-1 So will I get check list (because we dont have those exact words on translated version) or will go through without any problem.
Q-2 What to do if NVC say that they need this specific words on the Translated version? (Issuing authority does not write any extra words on this certificete. They have their format.).
Q-3 I read the word supervisor review in this forum. What is that and in what case we can ask for supervisor review and how to ask for supervisor?

Anyone has any inputs????

Anyone has any inputs????

We sent in my husband's Lebanese birth certificate and police report which were translated by a sworn translator in Lebanon. There were tons of stamps on it, including a "sworn translator" stamp. When I called the NVC to ask if this was acceptable instead of a certification statement, I was told it would be fine. However, our IV packet hasn't been reviewed yet, so I can't tell you if it truly will be fine. (If I get a checklist, I will certainly be getting a supervisor involved.)
