Ok I think one of the NVC reviewer finally woke up from sleep and picked up a July 15 package to review. Someone on facebook got CC, scan date July 15th.

I guess its going to take NVC 2-4weeks to finish up with all of July packages.

I’m not a gambler although I bet it will take……wait…........wait….....…wait….......................................…. up to 60 days to finish July!

17th business day since DS-261, I'm hoping that if we don't have the iv fees unlocked in 13 business days they'll still let me put In a request for a review as it seems a few people here have had success with.

DH should be on his way back tomorrow. He tried to get his irs transcripts last night online and it wouldn't let him for some reason, so he ordered them by mail. Once they arrive we'll send the AOS and IV packages via EP at the same time. All of his income is foreign, so it's not like it makes a difference, we're relying on the joint sponsor anyways but c'est la vie.

Does anyone know how the scan dates work with EP since everything is scanned already?

You won't be able to download the transcripts if the address on the 1040 is outside the USA. I had to order my transcripts twice, the first set took 8 weeks to come, the second set only about 2 weeks. They actually came only a couple of days apart. A member on the august thread said that to avoid frustration you can call the irs and ask for them to be faxed instead.

Be sure to read saylins EP wiki, packed with awesome nuggets of info you will need.

Hi VJ Friends,

I spend a whole day yesterday without VJ, I had a training - being a program director is fabulous - you get to be away at training constantly. LOL if I only get enough time to practice what I trained for. Yes my expedite was denied but I was reading someone had their senator's helped them, so this morning I paid a little visit to my wonderful friend who work for the congressman as I used to actually work in the office who made an inquiry for me. So let's wait and see if the dream that I had can come true! A CASE COMPLETE AND AN OCTOBER INTERVIEW!!!

He also said that NVC is actually doing the scheduling for the embassies now! Really!

WOW that's great will be praying they help you out and how great you know this person. I was sent a message from Cairo Embassy that NVC does the scheualing but they are all a bunch of liars, never believe them. Good luck will be saying special prayers so you get your expedite and interview date.

I admit, I have been growing a bit tired of reading VJ posts day after day, only because there is no moving forward with CC and advancing scan dates. 07/11 is all I have been seeing for more than a week now. So just for kicks and giggles, I decided to look up reviews posted by ex-employees of NVC on Indeed.com. Below is the link. Of course, we all expect a sweat shop, but some of the reviews reek of racism referring to our loved ones as “desperate people trying to immigrate to America.” I’m petitioning for my elderly mother, the only family member I have, who for over a year is waiting to be reunited with her only child. Desperate to live in America? Not at all. Wanting to live with what is left of her family. Heck yeah! But those schmucks at NVC don’t see our loved ones as family severed from us and awaiting to be reunited.

Well, that’s my gripe for the week. I feel even more depressed than I was few minutes ago. Check out the link if/when you get bored. Love ya all!

Can you only imagine what they say about our Arab loved ones, I can just hear it. Everyone seems to think any Arab or Muslim is automatically a terrorist. Just shameful.

So we completed the ds261 on July 12th and my wife phoned the NVC last Friday 29th August asking how much longer it's gonna take so they said they will pass it on for a review.

My wife called the NVC again today and they said the ds261 was reviewed 2 days ago (Tuesday) and that our IV bill will be any time now thank god!!!!

So happy for you but would you please take a few minutes to update your timeline it would help us out so much. Don't know anything about your IV package. Thank you in advance.

My timeline is already as up to date as it can be so I'm not sure what you are referring to as we don't have our IV invoice yet therefore have not even mailed off the package?

Yup! For passport photos I stapled a snack sized Ziploc to a blank piece of paper, put the labeled photos inside the bag and sealed it, then wrote the details (beneficiary name and DOB, case number, item description) on the paper as well.

I think gaps due to travel are not allowed in DS-260. For the period where you alternately resided with both parents, you can give the primary address which was listed in school records, etc. Trying to enter two addresses for the same period may complicate things and it may through an error, not allowing you to submit. You will have to see for yourself if you can do it or not and any explanation regarding the address issue has to be on the DS-260 itself, that is if it asks for one, don't think you can submit the explanation with the IV package.

Understood. How silly of me; of course I had a domicile in Australia while travelling, I wasn't homeless! I will just use that for my address at that time, yes? I definitely understood that I could not put two addresses, I am going to put the "main" address which was my mother's address and explain on the separate sheet of notes which I will send along with my IV package that I also lived with dad for equal time.

Exactly and they are just like everyone else they have good people and bad and they bleed red just like us. All the Arabs I know both Christian and Muslim were extraordinarily nice to me. I fear my husband coming hear to be honest I hope no one, well I'll keep that to myself everyone will think I'm more paranoid then I already am. Ty for understanding.
