I admit, I have been growing a bit tired of reading VJ posts day after day, only because there is no moving forward with CC and advancing scan dates. 07/11 is all I have been seeing for more than a week now. So just for kicks and giggles, I decided to look up reviews posted by ex-employees of NVC on Indeed.com. Below is the link. Of course, we all expect a sweat shop, but some of the reviews reek of racism referring to our loved ones as “desperate people trying to immigrate to America.” I’m petitioning for my elderly mother, the only family member I have, who for over a year is waiting to be reunited with her only child. Desperate to live in America? Not at all. Wanting to live with what is left of her family. Heck yeah! But those schmucks at NVC don’t see our loved ones as family severed from us and awaiting to be reunited.

Well, that’s my gripe for the week. I feel even more depressed than I was few minutes ago. Check out the link if/when you get bored. Love ya all!

I think that was their way of accepting the situation at hand. Rather than think they were actively keeping legitimate families apart through the bad management that was imposed upon them, it makes them feel better to think of stereotypical border-hoppers who are just filing immigration cases to antagonise their already bad situation. Honestly, reading those reviews makes me feel very bad for those workers. I'm sure they're working very hard in a very difficult situation. I can't imagine not being allowed to speak to any of my colleagues all day and managers only speaking to me to put me down and tell me I'm ####### at my job that I work so hard at. At the end of the day, low morale results in low output. Very bad management from obvious mini-Hitlers.

Add the situation above to this backlog keeping us apart from our families, it's a very sorry situation all around. The managers there obviously see us and their employees as numbers and statistics, not as people.

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'm increasingly suspicious that these "supervisor meetings" are a cover story to prevent people actually getting supervisors on the phone. It's entirely too convenient that, the majority of times a VJ member reports asking for a supervisor, all of them are conveniently unavailable.

You'd be surprised. I work for a very small company and our managers are constantly in meetings and unavailable to take calls. We get the same reaction from our customers that we're just making it up, but honestly, we're not :P meetings are just a practical alternative to doing actual work, see.

17th business day since DS-261, I'm hoping that if we don't have the iv fees unlocked in 13 business days they'll still let me put In a request for a review as it seems a few people here have had success with.

DH should be on his way back tomorrow. He tried to get his irs transcripts last night online and it wouldn't let him for some reason, so he ordered them by mail. Once they arrive we'll send the AOS and IV packages via EP at the same time. All of his income is foreign, so it's not like it makes a difference, we're relying on the joint sponsor anyways but c'est la vie.

Does anyone know how the scan dates work with EP since everything is scanned already?

Is your scan date July 22nd? Please update the thread after you call NVC. Good luck!

So I called in this morning right when the opened and by some miracle, I got through on my first try and was only on hold for about 3 seconds. Unfortunately they couldn't tell me anything I didn't already know, although the operator was extremely nice about it, nicest I've talked to yet. She confirmed that they are taking 60 calendar days as opposed to business days though and that they should be looking at ours before the month is through. Yes, our scan date was July 22, so 60 days puts us around the 18th of September. I can handle that

Ok I think one of the NVC reviewer finally woke up from sleep and picked up a July 15 package to review. Someone on facebook got CC, scan date July 15th.

I guess its going to take NVC 2-4weeks to finish up with all of July packages.
