ohk.. so far just 1 person had gone over 60 days.. I hope so by next end of week many people will be getting update.. Mostly CC. Not mostly.. everyone should be getting CC.

I think with that case that went over 60 days, the package had actually been reviewed earlier but the agent had forgotten to press some magic "case complete" button.

There are a few of us here with scan dates 7/15-7/26. I don't think there's been a single case complete reported on this thread so far this week. Hopefully that changes today and tomorrow.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Looks like NVC may be scanning in documents a bit quickly. Our IV checklist - the Singapore Police Clearance Certificate - was delivered on 28th and then scanned in on the 29th.

NVC tends to scan documents faster on Thursdays and Fridays since they receive less mail at the end of the week. :idea:

I believe more people send documents to NVC over the weekend or on Monday or Tuesday. :star:

Hi VJ Friends,

I spend a whole day yesterday without VJ, I had a training - being a program director is fabulous - you get to be away at training constantly. LOL if I only get enough time to practice what I trained for. Yes my expedite was denied but I was reading someone had their senator's helped them, so this morning I paid a little visit to my wonderful friend who work for the congressman as I used to actually work in the office who made an inquiry for me. So let's wait and see if the dream that I had can come true! A CASE COMPLETE AND AN OCTOBER INTERVIEW!!!


He also said that NVC is actually doing the scheduling for the embassies now! Really!

I admit, I have been growing a bit tired of reading VJ posts day after day, only because there is no moving forward with CC and advancing scan dates. 07/11 is all I have been seeing for more than a week now. So just for kicks and giggles, I decided to look up reviews posted by ex-employees of NVC on Indeed.com. Below is the link. Of course, we all expect a sweat shop, but some of the reviews reek of racism referring to our loved ones as “desperate people trying to immigrate to America.” I’m petitioning for my elderly mother, the only family member I have, who for over a year is waiting to be reunited with her only child. Desperate to live in America? Not at all. Wanting to live with what is left of her family. Heck yeah! But those schmucks at NVC don’t see our loved ones as family severed from us and awaiting to be reunited.

Well, that’s my gripe for the week. I feel even more depressed than I was few minutes ago. Check out the link if/when you get bored. Love ya all!

Looks like NVC may be scanning in documents a bit quickly. Our IV checklist - the Singapore Police Clearance Certificate - was delivered on 28th and then scanned in on the 29th. A pleasant surprise - the only one I have had in almost 12 months!!!!

yes, NVC has improved in two things, one is they are assigning case numbers faster and second is scanning documents faster. My AOS and IV packages were scanned in two days after receipt.

2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.

NVC received my approval on August 27th. I called today and they told me that it is in their system. Now when do I call to get my case number/IIN??

I'm self-employed, so my taxes are a bit complicated. I'd written down the wrong number in the income box, then did it AGAIN (even writing a different number from a different line on my taxes). Called NVC, thankfully got a nice person on the line, explained that I was having trouble filling out the form and why, and he helped me find the right number to enter.

I had submitted a combination of copies of 2013 taxes and transcripts for earlier years, and my accountant even told me the WRONG number to enter, saying she'd read the instructions multiple times and "You should use this number." Grrrrr.....

So sorry to hear that and feel the accountant shouldn't have mistaken the wrong number.

Just updating.. NVC received 8.28.2014 (no case #yet) the usual 30 days..

You may get it sooner than that, in fact in about two weeks. I was thinking the same and I had the case number assigned for a week and didn't know.

With the way NVC is stuck with July 3rd-July 11th packages, am wondering if there are people with July 14th-July 18th scan dates.

I am July 15th scan date... No news to report yet, 51 days... I hope it doesn't reach 60 days!

Hi guys update just spoke to Abby at NVC and she informed my AOS or IV docs have still not been reviewed. AOS scan date July 14 And IV docs scan Aug 12.

After the 60 day run around info I asked what date they are reviewing she said as of this morning JULY 9 !!!!!!!! Ughhhhhhhhh I thought they were at July 11 tomm it will be 40 business days.

Good morning Saylin,

I have a couple of questions, maybe you have heard something similar in the past. I am the petitioner for 3 applicants my spouse and my 2 stepchildren. I submitted my wife AOS before my children and I just got a checklist and I corrected it already, my question is can I submit my children with the corrections since I know what was wrong with it? or do I have to wait for them to review it get the checklist and then submit it?

I am trying( like everyone here) to save time.

NOTE: the letter i recieved with the checklist clearly says 30 business days NOT 60 days why are they telling us 60 smh...

You should submit as soon as you realize you made the mistake; use the barcode sheet and just send in the corrected form, not tge entire package.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

He also said that NVC is actually doing the scheduling for the embassies now! Really!

NVC always schedules the interviews. If you want to re-schedule, then you go through the Embassy directly.

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

Just received email notification from USCIS that they have shipped our file to NVC, I was worrying for no reason. Thank you to everyone who gave me info and peace of mind! :content:

10-30-14 DS261/AOS fee

12-02-14 IV fee

12-03-14 Sent Package

01-30-15 Case Complete! 5 months at NVC with no checklists

03-25-15 Received Interview Letter, date is 05/14/15

05-14-15 Interview Result: APPROVED!

06-08-15 25 days later...CEAC finally shows READY

06-11-15 Visa in Hand

06-15-15 POE in Philadelphia

Total Time from Sending Petition to Visa in Hand: 14 months, 3 weeks
