I spoke with Walter this morning who was a breath of fresh air. He said please and thank you and asked how my morning was going. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and didn't even asked why and tried to connect me but they were in their "morning meeting" (this was at 7:20 am). He sent a request for the supervisor to call me back but haven't heard from them yet. I tried calling back a few hours later and Brian told me that they were still in their meeting (this was at 10am) and confirmed Walter did put in a request for a supervisor to call me back. I asked Brian when the morning meeting hours were and he said normally 8-9 but they are always changing. I asked him if he could give me an update on my case and no good new yet. Said I would have to wait 60 days for the DS-260 to be reviewed?! And my packet iv would also need the lovely 60 day tune they love to say.

At this rate it's going to be 90 plus days

It's the norm.

If you call early just as they open at 7AM, it's usually easier. You need to keep redialing over and over again. Once you get a line, you will typically be on hold another 20-40 minutes before you get to speak to a human.

Thank you for letting us know... This proves NVC is still stuck up with July 10 - 11 scan dates...

Wonder when they would reach my scan date of July 30..... And then there is that nightmare of getting a dreaded checklist...

This wait is just killing.. God please help us!!!

We have almost same scan date. July 31 scan date here. It seems NVC will take forever to finish up with July packages.

I'm increasingly suspicious that these "supervisor meetings" are a cover story to prevent people actually getting supervisors on the phone. It's entirely too convenient that, the majority of times a VJ member reports asking for a supervisor, all of them are conveniently unavailable.

Thanks so much everyone! This is a great thing to do I think. All that needs to happen is husband's parents need to sign the form and put it back in the post so there's really not much they can get wrong and they have done this process before so they understand what needs to happen. I think if there is anything that goes wrong it definitely won't be their fault and I'm really not the kind of person to blame anyone for things that were not their fault. Personal responsibility is my jam

I'm going to send my IV documents too, I have them all, just need to collate and copy some things like my birth certificate etc. I'm just wondering about maybe having the PIL keep a hold of it for the moment because I haven't done the DS-260 yet and I think there might be some notes I need to add in my package like a note that I had two residences at age 16 due to divorced parents, and why there's a 3 month gap (travelling when 21). That way I can just send them the cover letter with table of contents and explanatory pages then they can send it on. Thoughts?

I think gaps due to travel are not allowed in DS-260. For the period where you alternately resided with both parents, you can give the primary address which was listed in school records, etc. Trying to enter two addresses for the same period may complicate things and it may through an error, not allowing you to submit. You will have to see for yourself if you can do it or not and any explanation regarding the address issue has to be on the DS-260 itself, that is if it asks for one, don't think you can submit the explanation with the IV package.

Anyone who is over 60 days?

The only case I know to have exceeded 60 days for a package review was Amanda4964's. I believe it was due to an internal error at NVC.

Right now they are reviewing packages scanned around July 11th and maybe as late at July 15th. They more or less work in received/scanned date order except when they don't or when they don't work at all... (tee-ing up AustinCanada with that last sentence).

For IV fees, I think a few people went over 60 days as well.

So I got 2 e-mails form NVC this morning. I was so exited, thinking they reviewed my AOS.

Noooope. It is response to my e-mails sent to them God knows when...saying they got my documents and 60 days bulls...

At this rate they may reach our scan dates by end or Sep or early Oct I guess..... Thank god we at least have this wonderful website to console each other!!!

I completely agree with you. I can understand a morning supervisor meeting in the morning when they just get to the office to last an hour max. But really they were in the meeting at 7am and still at 10am? I find that really hard to believe. Then when you call around lunch, they are on lunch break. Then you call in the later afternoon and they say they are gone for the day. Just isn't correct.

I thought it was because of the attention given every caller. All supervisors are busy assisting those other callers.

Hello everyone! I just had a question, OK so I've been told that the only difference of having an attorney on our case is that we get to send in both AOS & IV packets together, does this mean my scan date (07/22) is valid for both? Or do I have to wait 60 days for one and then 60 days for the other one? I called NVC yesterday and they said my packet has not been reviewed yet but that it SHOULD be reviewed in these couple of weeks because it is 60 days MAXIMUM? ---nervous&anxious--- ???

ohk.. so far just 1 person had gone over 60 days.. I hope so by next end of week many people will be getting update.. Mostly CC. Not mostly.. everyone should be getting CC.
