Just called and talked to Amanda. She was nice, but I'm thinking that's only because I didn't make any waves.

She said my last package was "received on the 18th, errr well actually it looks like the 16th".... which is interesting. I feel like they definitely have access to the date your mail actually arrived at NVC now. Not like it changes anything, just interesting.

Then got the very robotic "up to 60 days to finish reviewing your package" response. She did say "up to" and "60 days," not business days.

In another thread, someone had a checklist scanned on 7/15 reviewed on 8/29. We don't seem to have a lot of July 14-18th scan dates on this thread so it feels like we're standing still... But I think they are moving through cases... ever so slowly.

It sure feels like not much is going on at NVC for the last two weeks.

My 30th business day is Sept 8th (next Monday) and my 60th calender day is Sept 22nd.

At this rate, it'll take about 60 calender days to review my IV package (or until enough employees wake up)!

Yup. We're fast approaching 40 business days. Unless they speed it up soon, they're gonna have to send 90 day emails.

I'm a fan of these pictures of yours. I feel like you should start a "NVC worker of the day" thread and post one of these daily, maybe with a fun made up bio... I would subscribe!

Well today is 30 business days since they received our checklist response for AOS and our IV Package... I'm gonna try calling in when they open tomorrow just to see if they have reviewed yet... might be able to see if they have any more checklists or anything. Hopefully NOT

hy guys....i havent posted much but i am just so frustrated i needed to vent....called NVC today waited on hold for 50mins and got disconnected.... i dexided to call again and waited another 50mins to hear the 60day story :'( this is redicious..... they just have to look at one piece of paper!!! i got a checklist for my marriage certificate :-((((

hope NVC picks up the pace! cant take this anymore!!! i was hoping for an OCTOBER interview but looks like that is not happening....i wish there was something that could b done for future applicants that are trying to bring their spouse legally and pay their share of tax and not to mention these NVC fees!

It's really puzzling to me as well that checklist reviews go to the back of the line at NVC. You are not alone in this situation. Hang in there!

Your DS-261 scan date has changed from July 13th to Aug 27th!!?? Sorry to hear that.

I suggest that you stay away from the CEAC site. You'll receive an IV fee invoice email when it's ready for you to pay the IV fee.

There is no need to check the CEAC site unless you're waiting for a CC and checking the site to see if the AOS fee "PAID" has changed to "N/A".

The IV fee is not dependent on AOS actions. It is counted based on when you submitted DS-261. Depending on whom you ask at NVC, it's between 30 business days and 60 calendar days. Some have waited less than 30 business days, some more than 60 calendar days.

NVC received my case on May 8th, and my case number was assigned on June 2nd. I'd call them once per week to check if a case has been assigned. Even after it's assigned, it still takes about a week before DS-261 or AOS invoice become available.

I got P4 interview packet today via Email.. bt i don't understand the statuses,, what do they really want from me plz if someone can clarify i will be thankful to you..

I know it takes like a week or so for ds261 to be available, but if I know i have the case number with me, I would have something to look forward to. thats how my time will fly by...by filling out forms. you know what i mean??

Yeah that's a good ideal or maybe they can hire some of us to help them review packages, we'll review ALL the packages in just 1week for FREE

There you go again thinking and with a brain and logically. For one they would NEVER hire anyone from VJ because they know VJ'ers know more than they do and second it would make sense. SO SPEED IT IS

I think I saw someone mention here that this step is now taking "only" about 2 weeks.

Most people here can relate. It looks like the petitioner in your case is a LPR and not a USC, which I believe means you are looking at longer wait times to get an interview after CC at the NVC.

I encourage you to look at the "New 2014" tab on the spreadsheet and also people's signatures on this thread to get a good idea of what's ahead for you. The spreadsheet seems to confirm that case numbers are now assigned about 2 weeks post receipt.
