Thanks lovely! I will probably call again when lines open tomorrow. Can you believe I got through htis morning right at 7am and my call was answered in about 30 seconds???!!! First time ever I haven't waited at least 30 minutes. Local time here when it is 7am there is 9pm, so it is perfect time for me to call as the kids have gone to bed. Usually my hubby gets annoyed when I call NVC for updates, but now he wants to know ASAP about the interview date so we can book flights!

So happy for you dear. My hubby is the patient one and doesn't like bothering NVC and his always saying NVC can't hold us forever. But now, his so eager for us to get a CC and always ask me about updates on NVC and VJ.

Am hoping and praying you get interview date for October. My regards to the kids :luv: :luv:

Thanks for the info, Purpleblush. I haven't actually heard of anyone from the week of the 15th making much progress, but I choose to believe that the agent you spoke to is right, because that is what I want to believe haha.

My AOS package was scanned in on July 17th too, so it looks like we are scan buddies! I am currently traveling in Peru with my husband so I can't check VJ or call NVC very easily, which is mainly a good thing because I was seriously going insane (well, still am) but at the same time, now that I should be (allegedly) hearing something any day about my AOS I am so anxious; it is sooo easy to get a checklist!

Anyway, best of luck to you. I'll be looking for good news :)

hy guys....i havent posted much but i am just so frustrated i needed to vent....called NVC today waited on hold for 50mins and got disconnected.... i dexided to call again and waited another 50mins to hear the 60day story :'( this is redicious..... they just have to look at one piece of paper!!! i got a checklist for my marriage certificate :-((((

hope NVC picks up the pace! cant take this anymore!!! i was hoping for an OCTOBER interview but looks like that is not happening....i wish there was something that could b done for future applicants that are trying to bring their spouse legally and pay their share of tax and not to mention these NVC fees!

Am so sorry for the checklist, just hang in there, very soon all this will soon be over and you'll forget about anything called NVC. Am sending you goodlurk and I pray your checklist gets reviewed on time.

Just got off the phone with NVC...and accidently clicking on the ds-261 on the ceac website cost us big time! Original submission was Jul 13. Clicked on it August 27th. Talked to Gabriella - she was really quite helpful actually...but she did say we'd have to wait 30 business days. What a bummer. Now it's definitely looking like a January interview date at best.

Your DS-261 scan date has changed from July 13th to Aug 27th!!?? :wow: Sorry to hear that. :cry:

I suggest that you stay away from the CEAC site. You'll receive an IV fee invoice email when it's ready for you to pay the IV fee. :idea:

There is no need to check the CEAC site unless you're waiting for a CC and checking the site to see if the AOS fee "PAID" has changed to "N/A". :star:

Yes EOC we did get the email. Just backing up from this thread for a while. I m too depressed and out of energy to be strong here. I will be back in a while. Love u guys.

I am also in depression!! have long way to go. Haven't even received my case number/IIN yet. :(:(:(

Looks like NVC may be scanning in documents a bit quickly. Our IV checklist - the Singapore Police Clearance Certificate - was delivered on 28th and then scanned in on the 29th. A pleasant surprise - the only one I have had in almost 12 months!!!!

I signed in both hahahaa blue on the line then below that in black. Wasn't going to let them mess with me. They think we're trained graphics-seals-258138.gif Actually it's random sometimes they accept blue or black it just doesn't make sense or follow a pattern.

We had got an RFE for G-325a after 11 months of filing. I asked on VJ and got conflicting answers for which pen to use; some said black pen was needed, some said black had to be avoided because it appeared to be a copy and not original signature. In the end, I sent in two forms, one signed in blue and one signed in black.

2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

OK, at this point, do yourself a HUGE favor and re-read Saylin's wiki on what to do next.

Read the instructions for the AoS forms very, very carefully (I got 2 checklist rounds for ours. Ugh). And call NVC if you have a question and ask it BEFORE you send that paperwork in. Keep asking til you understand if you have a question. Save yourself the 2-5 weeks extra it'll take if you get a checklist!

I received a letter from my US Senator Barbara Mikulski It reads:

Dear Mrs Hampton

Thank you for contacting my office and giving me the opportunity to assist you. My staff and I will do our best to help you resolve your problem. I have been in touch with the National Visa Center and have asked that this matter be attended to promptly. I will get back to you as soon as I receive a response to my inquiry.

Thanks to my Senator my case was closed Fri. I received a checklist for the Russian police certificate. The same day they received it my case was closed. I did not have to wait. I thank Senator Mikulski for all her help.

Congratulations on your CC and I am happy you found someone willing to help and they succeeded too.

You sent your IV in March, what happened since? Did you receive a checklist and what was it for?

Aww! You're so lucky you get to see your hubby at least on the weekends, although a normal married life is so much better! NVC doesn't understand the urgency of everyone's situations ? I have a question though, maybe I'm unaware of all these package names like 'aos' and 'IV' because my attorney just asks me for what he needs and doesn't specify what for, but I don't understand? There's two packages that need to be sent in? We've only sent one, the one with all of our civil docs and we've filed ds261&260 already paid aos & iv fees, I mean we have to pay in order for our NVC to send usa checklist right? Ugh, so stressful. Scan date 07/22/2014, still waiting!!

You should read Saylin's wiki to familiarize yourself with this process and sometimes it is best to be involved in the process and not leave everything on the lawyer. Hope your lawyer didn't screw up and your CC is coming soon.

Before you all know it, we going to get a letter saying it takes 120 days to review documents.

God forbid. There should be positive changes with the increase in fees, maybe they are getting more reviewers.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
