I am so sorry you are going though this. I went on my Senator's website. My Senator reaches out to her constituents and explained that she could help us get through government red tape. I filled out a form she asked for giving her permission to research my case. I also sent her a copy of the 60 days letter we received from NVC and I also wrote a long letter. Explained to her that I felt that US citizens were being treated unfairly and we have priority over other petitioners. I felt that DACA hurt US citizens in this process. I explained I have not seen my husband since last July and he could not be here to see his first child born. It was personal at the same time political. It really depends on your Senator. I hope this helps.

Only God knows when they will get to July 31 scan date. I hope all my strength and patience won't be long exhausted by then.

Here I am. Another month at NVC. We are now in our 17th month of this process. Nothing else to say really, just can't believe I'm still here checking in to another month's thread....

17 MONTHS!? Well, I'm "celebrating" my 11-month immi-versary tomorrow.

We're both waiting for CC at least. I hope we get CC in 2-3 weeks!

How long does it usually take Nebraska to ship the approved petition to NVC? Wondering if they tossed mine on the truck yet or if someone is still using it as a coaster.

From 2weeks--> 4weeks--> 30days--> 30business days--> 60days.

I hope they don't go from 60days--> 60business days.

I believe it's something on the order of 2 weeks after your USCIS status changes to something that sounds like "blah blah blah we have shipped your approved or reaffirmed case to the department of state for further processing" but your mileage may vary.

Edit: I mean it's 2 weeks after that status change until NVC receives the petition. Was that your question?

Mine was approved April 14th, was shipped April 18th, NVC received April 30th.

Thanks for the info, that answers the second thing I was wondering. I'm also wanting to know (approximately) when I can expect the status to change from "we have approved etc" to "we have shipped this approved".

I think for a lot of people it's about 4 days but your mileage may again vary... I've seen people wait a week or two before their case was "shipped."

If you read the first post of this thread, Saylin makes good general recommendations about when to start calling NVC to get your case number.
