Hi we are also in the Ottawa/Gatineau are. I was wondering where you guys will be doing POE thru Ottawa airport or by car? And which entry. I have been reafing which entry to use but wanted both of yours input. Thanks

Depends on the weather! If it's winter my husband would rather wait to drive in the spring to bring my belongings since he really has no experience with winter conditions. I live with my parents so my stuff is fine sitting around for a few months. But I think if the weather is nice he might drive up with a little u haul and we would drive. Buuuut I also really want to shove my visa in the border agents' faces at the Ottawa airport. They've made traveling hell for me so I'd like them to know how great I am for immigrating legally! Haha. My luck though would be that the agent there might not have even dealt with me before. But once I get my visa in hand I'm entering the states the same or next day. I've been with my husband for four years and will be married for one year in 6 days!!!! I'm ready to live with him. Edited by Mandiimoose

This morning I checked the website and saw my AOS fee changed from PAID to N/A

So I decided to call NVC ( the first time I ever have)

And sure enough CASE COMPLETE !!! Agent told me I won't be getting an October interview (I figured)

I know my embassy is one of the busy ones so I know I have another wait for interview date

We plan to drive and will either do the 1000 Islands bridge or maybe the Prescott one. Prescott will be quieter but if it is end of Nov or Dec the roads may be better at 1000 islands.

We are going to florida too

We had thought Prescott too but have not seen any reviews. So we were thinking Ottawa airport we are also going to Florida.

Thats great! We are also eager to get this process finished. I might do Prescott or Ottawa airport depends on ticket prices. I hope my checklist gets reviewed quickly and maybe have a November interview.

Today I called NVC to see what was going on with our embassy change. I was able to log on to the payment portal right before calling and saw that our case number had changed from the BNS number to a new BGT number. No message in red this time, just a new case number there at the top. When I called they said it had been approved on Sept. 26. Hooray, one less thing hanging over our heads!

QUESTION: I'm wondering if there's even a point in sending an e-mail to change my husband's address since we move back to Colombia on Monday. The first time we changed embassy (after moving to Argentina, where we are now) we were told over the phone to do this, the second time, nothing. All NVC mail for our case is already sent to my parents in the U.S., and that's also the address we put down for where my husband will live on several forms, where the green card should be sent, etc. So...should we bother? I mean, the embassy change was approved without them even requesting an address for him in Colombia. They wouldn't make us do anything crazy like re-submit his DS-260, right? It's already been accepted. This is one of those things where I've thought about it so much, any obvious answer has been lost in the recesses of my mind and replaced by doubt. NVC Syndrome strikes again.

Are you are F2A category? Are you LPR or Citizen (petitioner filing I mean).

Some reps don't give IIN right with case# just call back get someone else.

Just checked with NVC and they have wrongly assigned F2A category but the petitioner has a US passport which clearly signify a proof of US Citizenship and also USCIS has clearly mentioned Approval for Notice, Section - Husband & wife of US Citizen 201 (b) INA.

Now NVC wants us to send a scan copy of NOA2 and US passport of petitioner...Any idea what could be the turn around time to rectify this error.

I'm a bit late to the game here, but couldn't find much info about the AOS form I-864EZ, we just got approved (September 24th) and are finalizing our AOS and IV-package to get ready for this madness that is the NVC.

For those of you who used the I-864EZ form for the AOS:

We qualify to use it and plan on doing so, we've collected the IRS transcripts for the last 3 years (originals from IRS), and my wife said she can print her W-2's from the internal site at her workplace, we also plan on attaching last 6 months paystumps and a letter from the employer stating her current wages.

Is it okay to print the W-2's, or do they need to be signed from someone?

Is this enough documents to send for the AOS along with Bar coded sheet and cover letter..?

Thanks

TJ
