Don't worry….worrying never helped anyone…least of all ..you. :) . I know its easy to say. we are all in the same boat. I think you will hear about your packet soon enough…they are already working on 5-6 Aug scan dates.

Yes americans like paperwork. trust me, I don't know if you have been to use…but i can promise you ….more paperwork you give them they keep wanting more…LOL, j/k.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::P

Thank you! I am still worried, but I checked NVC wiki again and again..
And I could not find that a birth certificate and marriage certificate are needed for I-864ez.
But the operator Nickie said it is written on the instruction that we need to send these documents with I-864ez..
I could not find it on the instruction either.

I do hope we dont have to send these again..
It is ridiculous how many times we need to send our marriage certificate haha..

The most shocking thing happened to me.

I talked to NVC to check how our case is going, and the operator told me we had received AOS checklist on Aug 30. I believed our AOS was approved long ago, but I checked my mail folder, I found it...we didn't notice it and did nothing for a month. Our IV scan date is Aug 21, and so I thought we would receive case close next month. But it was wrong.

I know this is all our fault, but I am too shocked. I hope my husband will wake up soon(it is still at 5am) and will send the correct stuff today.

Wow.... Well, thankfully you saw it now versus another month from now! Good luck!

Guess what? My expedite is approved, but now what?

That's wonderful Godalone!

Just like in checklists, there is a real and a false expedite. If it's a real expedite, then your case should be shipped as is immediately to your consulate. NVC has recently started dishing out false expedites, where they insist on reviewing all documents before they get shipped as is to Consulates. Basically, they do that when they don't want to bother sifting through their mailroom and collecting all matched documents to the case.

Hope you got a real one... Keep us posted.

We all make mistakes, so don't worry about it... as long as you proactively do the right thing. As for the interview day, usually you will be called to an initial window manned by a local at the embassy to collect any additional papers and organize them for the CO. That's the one where you want to present your statement, so the CO will see it before he/she interviews you. I guess you could send the statement to NVC, but there is the risk of delaying your case until they review it. Furthermore, I don't believe NVC can legally or physically alter your DS-260 form once you submit it.

I called the NVC they said they cannot change it or alter the ds-260,they said to send the statement explaining it to the NVC and give the statement at the embassy to explaining it....

So should i send it to the NVC and to the embassy once my case is dispatched from the NVC or should i only send to the embassy and present it at the day of the interview as there is the risk of delaying the case if i send it to nvc...

I just spoke to them this morning, my scan date is also 8/8 and still give me the whole 60 days wait.

I spoke to NVC today and got the same ol song. 60 days. In the past I have spoken with some nice operators who were very informative, but here lately they have been rude, uncaring and very unwilling to give any info other than we have recieved mail and it will be at least 60 days to review. Very discouraging. This site is the only light in the tunnel.

Ok i called the nvc again and this time i got good rep he suggested that i dont mail in the signed statement as it could cause a delay and i should take it to the consulate on the interview day and present it....

Now i hope everything goes smoothly at the interview...

Thank you everyone for your responses!

Hey Guys,

Lets pray that things move faster with NVC now.

I have a quick question. I had lost my orginal Birth certificate, years back. Now I have applied with the issuing authority for a replacement & I got the replacement. On the replacement , they have mentioned in bold letters DUPLICATE . Will that be an issue while submiting to NVC ?

The birth certificate I got for myself said Duplicate, but I had all stamps and signatures, so this did not raise questions. I think, many countries have 'Duplicate' listed on re-issued documents. I am sure you will be fine.

I hear you!! after holding for more than 40 minutes this morning I finally got a rep he asked for my info then told me he see the package got there on 8/8 and asked me what was in the package I told him and he just told me 60 days to review. then I ask him what date nvc was currently working and he just told me he didn't know and again I needed to wait 60 days. I swear they sound like robots with the whole 60 days thing.. Grrrrr very aggravated
