I've been here for a while now and I don't remember you at all but we are all stressed out and everyone deals with it in their own way. Profanity really if we posted profane things we would be banned so not sure what your talking about. The bottom line is instead of complaining about posts and if your so sensitive then put us on ignore. I've done the same with a couple of nasty people that just cause problems and guess what? It works and now I'm not so stressed out. Not trying to be nasty just find your post a bit rude to even state this when you have rarely posted thus been supportive of any of us.

There is nothing rude about my post! Read the thread again - there were profane comments on there and I will say it again! And in case, you missed it - I acknowledged the frustrations!!! I don't mean to get rude with you considering I see many people on here actually likes you but you guys could make VJ more friendly by making space for new people instead of treating the new folks like alien who interrupted a high school click.

Since everyone else is saying what number they're at for NVC threads, I thought I'd chime in too. If I counted right, this is my 44th one... Although, that's starting from when my case actually got to NVC. I had been silently reading previous NVC threads before that

Why dont you speak with a supervisor and request an expedite due to NVC error? This is truly bizarre.

Unfortunately, their checklist was confirmed by the supervisor. It seems legally binding documents ought to be signed in black.

I definitely thought about this. But we are both huge control freaks and I would worry that something would get missed.

Will NVC care if the package is posted from within USA when they know we're living outside USA?

You can find a way to not let any documents go missing, for example, count the number of documents and ask PILs to ensure all x number if documents are there before mailing in. When the time comes to send your documents in, it would be prudent to send it domestically from within the US instead of sending from Australia taking more time. NVC doesn't care where from they get the documents as long as they get what they want. Just my two cents though.

I would love some advice, lovely people. Right now hubster and I are pondering two courses of action in regards to our AOS package. Just as a reminder, we are both living together in Australia and we received the i-864 and i-864a as well as tax returns and all that jazz from my husband's parents but there are some errors and it needs to be done again. So our options are:

1. Ask them to send the forms corrected again to us in Australia. The fastest possible way is Fedex but this, according to their site, is like $180! Not sure we want to ask them to do that. They could send it USPS again but that was a disaster and took a full 9 business days to get to us and I'm dying just thinking of that interminable wait again just to send the goshdarn package!

2. Put all our stuff together with CLEAR instructions as to what needs to happen with it, then send it to PIL in New Hampshire, have them add their stuff and then send it on to NVC for us. Our issue with this is that we are both control freaks and we would be more comfy with our hands being the last hands to touch the package so we can check that it's right. But this might be silly and us being overprotective.

What would you do, NVCers?

it was printed in black ink. I signed it in black ink. they said my black ink looked navy blue to them. so yes. the form was completed in black on. and printed out in black ink. and signed in black ink. and it was new black ink too. not faded. fresh black ink

Maybe the reviewer had her pink sunglasses on at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if an idiotic NVC reviewer gave a checklist for using A4 paper next!

I spoke to an NVC operator today and he told me that the NVC is in the process of hireing more people to help catch up. Anyone else hear this?

They shouldn't, but I wouldn't trust anyone to prepare my documents for NVC... not a lawyer, not a family member, not even my wife if I sensed she was not attentive enough to the minutest detail. A 60-day delay is just too great a risk to leave to chance.

Get me a job interview with NVC and an apartment to live in (that allows cats), and I'll move next month

Last scan date means everything here at NVC, if you want to stay on top of the game you should send your stuff as early as possible. Many people are deciding to mail the IV package before the fees is unlocked using AOS coversheet and having success with it too. I have not heard of anyone doing this and getting their documents misplaced I guess because of the coversheet. Also, NVC operators are all for sending the package before the fees is available.

This is a great idea. I just don't have the coversheet because the fee hasn't come up for payment availability yet which is very frustrating because I have the package ready, and we want to pay the bill so I can start filling in the form! I have all the info including all 16 of my domiciles since I was 16 years of age, LOL I didn't think I'd lived at so many places... and all my job info.. my head is spinning but it's all ready to go.

We could always just email the cover sheet to the PIL when we are ready to post that, huh? I think you might be a genius..

Hello everyone.....reporting back to this thread, I have been in NVC since April - 2014, so I am starting my fifth month in here, so far I sent the IV package and has been received by NVC,

Later today I will call them to find out what's the status of my AOS package (I made a mistake by resetting in the CEAC website, which showed :"incomplete", even when I called them about that situation they still made me wait 30 business days, which actually delayed my process).

I also committed another error when filing the financial package on my AOS, I had too many people on the form , where it says how many persons = family are accompanying the beneficiary (my wife is coming with my two stepsons), Each one of them have to have their own form filled up, and they do not to be added together.

Well nothing the less, I made the necessary corrections and now kust have to keep waiting to see if they are accepted and completed. Then it's just a matter of time to see when the AOS package be reviewed, accepted and completed.

A long journey, which at moments causes problems with our patience.

Hope for the best and will keep praying for each forum member to end this painful moment in our lives.
