Actually, when I had called after sending documents in I was told August 8 as the date I should consider, but the official wording from NVC (60-day letter) said August 7 :). Did you receive the 60-day email?

I did get the 60 day email on August 11 and it says they had receive my documents on 8/8 and to wait 60 days from that date.

Oh, thanks, that's good to know. Hey, another question. Were you able to fill out the DS-261 right away after logging in to the CEAC site for the first time? Where did you have to click? My CEAC site has three "tabs" on top but I can't click on any of them, then on the "summary information" page I have two boxes, one for AOS and one for IV. The first line says "Please contact the National Visa Center , if you want to change the Agent/Attorney Name or Address Information on your case."

I'm trying to confirm if I get to skip the DS-261 because I have a lawyer (that's what I heard)... when NVC gave me my case number over the phone, they already had my lawyer's info on file so I assume maybe yes. I suppose I'll find out eventually but oh well. :) Thank you!

Yes, i was able to fill out the DS-261 same day. From what i know, since you have an attorney you don't need to fill out the DS-261. Also, your AOS & IV fees should unlock at the same time b/c you have an attorney. Good luck with the process and i really hope we can submit our AOS gees very very soon, like this week!! :)

Yes, i was able to fill out the DS-261 same day. From what i know, since you have an attorney you don't need to fill out the DS-261. I send both package together but I got checklist only on my wife birth certificate civil doucment then mean my aos is good ??

You have to call NVC and ask about your aos, when did you get the checklist?

Yes, Sept has been very hard. My husband and I are both fighting depression over the length of time this has taken. We are older adults so that seems to make it hard in knowing we are ready to retire back in the USA. I am fighting stomach ulcers due to all the stress but I pray things pick up soon. MY husbands UK police certificate has now expired...I dread to think they would make us send another to NVC. We just received an updated one and I hope they will let us take it to the interview with us....don't think I could handle another 60 days.....

Hang in there and I hope there is light at the end of the very long tunnel! :clock:

Case Complete. Scan date: July 31.

Got a checklist September 24 for document oversight from the reviewer, Hubby called and requested for supervisor review. Supervisor Octavio pulled our file, checked and saw the missing document.

A special thanks to Saylin for all her help and efforts, Saylin you are indeed a blessing. I say a big thank you to all the Vjers here for your help and support. I also pray for those still at NVC stage that you all get thru ASAP.

is there any difference between the bar code cover sheet which we get after paying fees and the bar code which we get along with the checklist

i am pretty sure i will get a checklist for aos package as i used adjusted gross income instead of total (i file form 1040)

please suggest me what to do my aos got scanned on last august

and i think there is difference in address
