Just make sure you maintain those lovely smiles... NVC can be extremely tasking mentally.

Oh... I just noticed you're from Denver or is it Denver bound? We're Boulder bound ourselves when/if we get our IV stamps.

I actually live in Carbondale/Aspen area...great colors right now! Wish my husband was here to enjoy it...And you WILL get IV stamps! Keep up the positive vibes:)

Ok so I'm freaking out because my wife whom I'm sponsoring just sent me all her docs, all is good there, but I just now noticed that in one of the things on the list of items I need to send to NVC says "petitioner documents". What exactly does this mean? I'was born there in the Dominican Republic, and if they want my birth certificate it'll cost me another $55 to send this way from there plus however much to get it. Can anyone elaborate for me? I did call NVC yesterday and they said her bc is what's needed, but I don't want mistakes to get a checklist.

I believe this refers to different category like for me IR5 should include the birth certificate of my son to prove relationship.

Petitioner's documents under " civil documents "at NVC stage , we only need to send, if the beneficiary is other than spouse !!!!! Otherwise none!!!!! If u want to confirm please visit NVC details under "Civil documents-- petitioner's documents". So just relax brother.

No, not everyone receives the 60-day email. NVC doesn't follow any order when sending that email. My documents were received by NVC first week if August and I got that email September 20. There is nothing to worry about if you don't get that email.

Thanks dilmera!

So can I just request to talk to a supervisor over the phone? Or is there some sort of process I have to go through?

Just got a checklist (AOS) that said we didn't include 2013 tax information. However, I had included the 2013 tax extension request and had added in a sticky note on the i-864 to draw attention to it.

(Other part of the checklist is a little more complicated: I originally had submitted 1 i-864 including both my husband and step-daughter. I learned through a FB group a week later that I should have done 2 separate forms. So I resent a second form for my step-daughter. I'm hoping that a supervisor can help me figure out if I just need to wait until they find that second form which was sent 3 weeks later, or if I should resend 2 separate forms right away).

12/27/12 - Married in Bamako, Mali

11/12/13 - I-130 package sent

11/15/13 - NOA1

05/27/14 - NOA2

06/16/14 - Case received NVC

07/01/14 - Case number assigned

07/21/14 - DS-261 completed

07/25/14 - AOS bill paid

07/30/2014 - AOS package sent

08/18/2014 - add-on AOS package sent (learned that I should have sent 2 separate I-864s even though the cases are joined...oops!)

09/19/2014 - IV bill paid

09/26/2014 - AOS checklist received

11/09/2014 - DS 260 completed online

12/22/2014 - AOS checklist package and IV documents scan date

03/02/2015 - Case Complete!!! (70 days)

04/21/2015- Visas in hand!!
