I am so very happy for you....but totally bummed about my case. I have not had the same luck with NVC for reason. I haven't even received the welcome email and my AOS fee is locked. Hopefully, NVC will get on it quickly! Congrats on your progress!

Got my case number just now, it was assigned today. Thanks for inspiring me to call, haha. :) I can't do anything with it (except log in to the CEAC page) yet but oh well, it's something! They told me I could be waiting "up to 20 days" (I thought that was a weird number) for my email. Hope it's not that long.

Ok so I'm freaking out because my wife whom I'm sponsoring just sent me all her docs, all is good there, but I just now noticed that in one of the things on the list of items I need to send to NVC says "petitioner documents". What exactly does this mean? I'was born there in the Dominican Republic, and if they want my birth certificate it'll cost me another $55 to send this way from there plus however much to get it. Can anyone elaborate for me? I did call NVC yesterday and they said her bc is what's needed, but I don't want mistakes to get a checklist.

You won't need to send through your birth certificate. If you have a US passport than that should be enough for proof of citizenship.

Got my case number just now, it was assigned today. Thanks for inspiring me to call, haha. :) I can't do anything with it (except log in to the CEAC page) yet but oh well, it's something! They told me I could be waiting "up to 20 days" (I thought that was a weird number) for my email. Hope it's not that long.

That's awesome!! They told me the same thing...but they said 20 business days, not calendar. Fyi :)

just saw on ceac website AOS fee changed to N/A. scan date 01-Aug-14 :dancing::idea:

12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.

I have a question, does everyone receive an email after the NVC receives our IV documents?? I have not received any email from NVC after they received my IV documents..Is it somethnig to worry about?

No, not everyone receives the 60-day email. NVC doesn't follow any order when sending that email. My documents were received by NVC first week if August and I got that email September 20. There is nothing to worry about if you don't get that email.

Does the 60 day email only get sent out once?

I got it for my first checklist (when I sent documents) but for my second checklist I sent documents and have not gotten a 60 day email and its been a month since they recieved my documents.

No, some people have reported getting that email twice, even thrice. If you have called and confirmed that NVC has received your checklist, then you need not worry about not getting the 60-day email.

Thank you stackeria...He lived in each country more than one year. So it will be required. We are most concerned about Tanzania...a developing country where this is certainly not on their list of priorities to process. The NVC operator acknowledged that they realize it is not possible to even GET a Police Cert from some places, due to long processing times or lack of organization in that country.

I guess I am leaning towards getting the process "started" and supplementing with police certs when they come available.

Hi, try to email the UK and Tanzania embassy and ask them if they could post you the PCC or you could pick it up from the embassy if that's convenient for you.

Hi Everyone... I have question hope someone can answer.. when we gonna start counting 60 days? the day they scanned our packages or the day they receive our package? My husband send my IV docs last August 7 and NVC receive last August 8 but they scanned it August 12... Thanx in Advance..

Hi All,

CASE COMPLETE

I called and talked to Ariel because I can't seem to access the CEAC site.

After waiting on hold for 50 minutes Ariel asked for my details. Then she asked what she could do to help. I said that I was just calling for my weekly call. She started to say something and then said as of today they were finished with our case and that they would let us know when our interview was scheduled.

Whoopie!!!!!

We did EP and it looks like they looked at everything at once.

our AOS was e-mailed AUG 4 and our IV on AUG 29. I had scan dates of AUG 6 and Sept 4 but a 60 day notice dated Aug 28.

Hi there

I needed a PCC for Singapore. It was the only thing I needed and asked NVC if I could take it to the interview but they have made me send it to them. Hence why I am still waiting for a CC. It is worth calling them though and asking as I have see some people allowed to do this.

Hi, I think so far only cases at the Mumbai-US Consulate (India) are allowed to bring PCC to the interview. Any one with the same experience from other countries?

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.
