I'm no expert but from what I read on NVC's website, YES we must wait until IV fee is Paid and shows as paid to send all of the documents in one package or else we might have issues with our case (and we definitely don't need that).

I submitted DS-261 on 9/18 and my AOS fee is still not available :( Hopefully it's available this week. Do you happen to know how long after DS-261 is submitted we have to wait for IV Fee? I'm confused b/c a friend said 60 calendar days, someone else said 30 business days, and online in NVC's website it says 15 days to move on to next step. I assume IV fee is next step. Any idea?

If the NVC new process is telling the truth, it should be 15 days. As it was mentioned there: "Please wait for 15 days before continuing to the next step", which is the payment of the fees. Just my two cents.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with an Embassy saying they have not recieved any documents from NVC yet? Our case was expedited on August 12 and NVC shipped out our documents on August 13th. Using the DHL tracking tool, I saw that our case was delivered on August 18th to the Sydney Consulate

My husband and I have been emailing back and forth with the emabssy and last week he was told to get his medical. However, after getting his medical, he emailed again wondering when his interview would be and the embassy stated they are still waiting on documents from NVC. I contacted NVC, NVC states all documents have been sent out.

What do we do? It's a he said/she said at this point and my husband and I are stuck in the middle. No one knows where our documents are, our originals...does anyone have any experience

In this?!

Please help.

Oh my gosh spaghettikat that is absolutely terrible. Are you able to send the Consulate the tracking delivery notice. How can they just lose them? It isn't that big there. Please let me know how you go. We are not too far behind you. Thought all the stress would be finished with after NVC. Certainly don't expect to see it at Sydney.

Just as a quick update and info to anyone else who may encounter the same problem, I called NVC and spoke to a representative who told me to resubmit the DS-261. I asked it would cause any delays and she said no since the IV bill had already been paid for. So as soon as I resubmitted the DS-261, the DS-260 was made available.

Thanks to all who responded! Hope we all breeze through the remainder of the NVC process. Cheers!

Hey hi

I had faced exactly same problem with my ds-260 and called the nvc couple of times and they gave the same response to wait 3-4 business days everytime i called and with waiting and repeated calling them i came to know the problem was from their end the nvc had to change and update the ds-261 from incomplete to complete and then only we could start the ds-260....I had to wait for so many days to submit my ds-260 due to this problem from nvc.....I recomend you call them and tell them to upadate your file then you can start your ds-260...

I just got this feeling those August scan dates will progress significantly in the next days. And that likely will have a lot of CC for these guys.

I already saw one with September NVC received date who have her IV billed already which was fairly quick.

For me an indication that NVC is really trying to catch up. So am positive the August guys will get CC very soon. :)

HELLO VJ friends, I cant believe it has been a week since I HAVE BEEN ON HERE. After realizing that my joint sponsor really make only $4000, I had to find another sponsor. My mother could have help but she chose not to thinking it is a way of keeping my husband she does not approved of on the other side of the world. Thank God for aunties who are proud of you for waiting 25 years and graduate with masters before getting into relationships, they were quick to help. So, I have an immigration office preparing my AOS package again because I cant afford another checklist, and then I will ship at 10:00am tomorrow. In the meantime, I tried again at another expedite request, this time with a doctor note attach! If that does not work, I need to start preparing myself to go see hubby soon.
