i have a questions please. i did EP and im preparing the IV document to take to interview

they asked for original documents and a copy

does the copy need to be stamped ? official ? or just a copy ?!

I believe it's just the copy So you can keep your originals and they can keep the copy..If you don't give the copy, they might keep your original :yes:

That would be awesome, but if not next week, then the week after. However, October interviews are done, now an interview will be in November.

It has to be just a plain copy.

NOOOOOOOO DON'T SAY THAT.. I WAS THINKING MY HUBBY'S INTERVIEW WILL BE IN DECEMBER AND HE'LL BE HERE BEFORE DECEMBER 25TH..I DIDN'T EVEN SEND MY DOCUMENTS YET!!:cry::cry:

I have 2 questions: #1- My wife whom I'm sponsoring to come live with me, is currently unemployed there. Is that a bad thing, or is that something they don't really look at at the time of interview? Reading screenshots of the DS-260, question 12 of part 1 asks "Present Occupation", I wanna put "unemployed" because that's what she really is. Would that be ok? Question #2- On part 1 of DS-260 screenshots question #3 says, "Full name in Native Alphabet". What really does this mean? Should I just write her whole name, i.e. FIRST, LAST? Thanks in advance for the answers!! I've learned so much here from all of you, I honestly feel confident I can do NVC on my own without a professional because of all of you, so thank you so much.

#2- On part 1 of DS-260 screenshots question #3 says, "Full name in Native Alphabet". What really does this mean? Pls put 'Not applicable" if the technology is not available - There is an option called " DOES NOT APPLY/TEC HNOLOGY NOT

AVAILABLE "

Hi,

1) It is not bad. You are the sponsor not your wife. They look at your income.

2) "Full name in native alphabet" - meaning your native language i.e. spanish, french, etc...

Hi Guys came to a point where I need some help now. I have made it all this way but my co sponsors have flaked out on us at the last minute. My mother is there to help me but her income was below the poverty line. Can I use her assets to qualify ?

Rora urdu/pashto Che interview warka. (it's better to choose pashto/urdu instead of English if you have any doubt. It's not compulsory to choose English)

Hi all,

I submitted the DS-261 on 7/26, but between that time and waiting for the IV bill, my wife (beneficiary) mistakenly clicked on the DS-261 link but did not resubmit. As a result, the DS-261 status shows as "incomplete". I read here in the forums and called NVC and confirmed, and they said that as long as it was not resubmitted, the 30 business day counter would not be reset.

I found out by calling NVC that the DS-261 was reviewed and accepted on 9/4 and I received my IV bill on 9/10. So looks like there was no problem clicking on the link (phew). I mailed the IV package docs on 9/12.

My question, though, is how long after the IV bill has been paid should I have to wait for the DS-260 available to fill online? I'm still seeing a "Not started" status with no link to complete the form. I called NVC and they said it should be available about 3-4 business days after IV bill is marked as "Paid." I called a second time after 3-4 business days and then they said they don't know if anything is wrong and that we should wait (he didn't even offer a timeframe).

Has this happened to anyone? The DS-261 remains "Incomplete" and you didn't have the ability to submit the DS-260?

Please let me know. Thank you!

Many September scan date folks are getting those emails but I didn't see any with August scan dates getting those. Maybe the next few days will tell whether all August scan buddies get that email.

Yup, never got any 30 business or 60 days mail.

Yet ..!!

Your 60 days to review start when you send your documents. Let's suppose you send them next week and you got a scan date September 25, your 60 days will be up on November 25. Considering, October scheduling is over even before September 25, maybe that time too by November 25 December scheduling would be over and interview would be in January if no checklist. I thought too I might have a case complete before this month ended and I could get a late October interview but that doesn't seem likely now.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
