I spoke to an NVC operator today and he told me that the NVC is in the process of hireing more people to help catch up. Anyone else hear this?

IN THE PROCESS of hiring more people!!!! :bonk: I don't want to belief that :bonk: they are notorious for saying all kinds of things and giving us false hope.

Hi Saylin, Just a quick question. FIlling out i864 currently and in 2013 I had income from both my current employer (which is main source of income) and some income from freelance work as self employed for which I filed schedule C form. In part 6 where it asks for Sponser's income and employment I checked 1st box to indicate Which company I am employed at. Do I also have to check mark 2nd box where it says "Self Employed as an.."? It only lets me choose either one. I am sending my tax transcripts of last 3 years, do I still need to send my Schedule C form with it?

If you can't choose both while filling it out on a computer, then hand-write it in once you print it.

And yes, I believe for those self-employed, that schedule needs to be sent along with tax transcripts.

We submitted DS261 on 8/12/14 and so we are here waiting for IV to become available to pay. Trying to move closer to the Consulate. One very slow measly step at a time.

Keep in mind though, operators have nothing to do with the actual review of the files. Operators merely take calls.

Yep, hopefully it indicates a trend, but you know how much speculation there is as to the habits of NVC.

I guess FarseF is a bad word ... VJ is a bit too heavily moderated for a site visited by adults ... but better than moderated to little I suppose. Ahhh well.

I am the USC Petitioner. My wonderful wife Laura is from Scotland.

They always say that. They are also working 28 hours a day, skipping smoke breaks and sending all the files to a secret underground facility where genetically engineered squirrels can turn out 4000 files a day. And, if William Wallace were here he would destroy the English with lightning bolts from his #######!!!

Haha, let's hope it's true. There do seem to be a lot of fresh operators lately.

NVC and their different stories. They never stop to make up stories. Yeah there's been new phone reps recently  But they need to hire more people to review packages

For the column : Place of Residence (if different from mailing address) on I-864EZ

1) I was planning to write the whole same addresss as I have written in Mailing Address) . Is that fine or we need to write N/A

Thanks

Please write n/a, I left it blank and got a checklist...in which, they asked me to put n/a there.

I'm starting to think that some of us should apply for jobs at NVC because we seem to be much smarter and efficient than those working there.

Should I move to New Hampshire?

Ok - looks like i'm going to be re-submitting my AOS package again. People are pretty convinced that we'll get a checklist for leaving part 3 #9 on I-864EZ blank.

Should I put 'N/A' for every line or just re-write the mailing address again?

Also found another mistake! Mistake #4! Put down the adjusted gross income instead of total income even though we filed a 1040. I am such a doofus. But thanks for all the help!

For current income, it kinda has to be an estimate as there's no tax forms yet. And it's not how much will be earned by the end of the year, it's how much is being made CURRENTLY, as of RIGHT NOW.

To calculate it, if you're salary, put the current amount. Otherwise, calculate how much you're currently making a year by doing: current hourly wage x hours worked per week x weeks worked in a year (typically 52). Then put that amount.

When calculating current income, do we use the amount we get before taxes, or after?

Petitioner: U.S. Citizen living in U.S. Beneficiary: Egyptian Citizen living in Egypt Seychelles United States!
