I did call NVC.. the lady said I do need both PCCs. What did you do after you got the checklist? Did you send another PCC? Could it be a false checklist??

Then its OK..Pls go ahead..v spoke to NVC and they have agreed to withdraw the checklist (They told us to ignore it) bcz i have sent PCC from passport office as well.I wil get another one for interview in case of any issues.

Is there any specific reason that you need to send PCC from both the PSK and police station? I have seen other fellow Indian members sending only one PCC from PSK without any problem. I am getting confused. I have got PCC only from PSK.

When my husband went to get his PCC from PSK, the agents there told him that he needs one from the local police station as well. Even the officers at the police station told him that he needed a local PCC along with the PCC from PSK. I am from New Delhi and my husband is from Rajasthan. The closest PSK is in Jaipur. It might be different elsewhere. You should find out from your PSK if you need one from police station or not. I am going to call NVC again tomorrow because I am having issues about the AOS package and I ll ask them the PCC question and why it is required? I ll let you know why NVC needs the two PCCs.

why did you expedite if you don't mind me asking? You sent your AOS before IV? I am sending mine together even though I can't pay the IV fees yet.

Thank you. I went for PCC at PSK this week and got two copies without any problem. I am from Kolkata and I went to Kolkata PSK.

They are asking only PSK

Thanks for the info.

YES!! that's what I am talking about..First they need to go to the police station and ask them for any criminal records.. Then the request goes to some office and comes back the next day. That's when they give you PCC from district SP. (sorry my husband didn't provide me with enough information--he did mention the SP though)

I don't understand why do NVC representatives always give contradicting Information. :ranting: When I was about to send my IV package, I asked 3 different representatives and all asked me to send just one PCC from local passport office. When further I mentioned that their website asks one from local/district police as well, one rep came up with an answer, "the website is not updated". I don't trust NVC representative but still I am on safer side because my passport was re- issued recently (added my spouse name to get PCC which is mandatory according to PSKs in Punjab.) So my police verification was done recently, apparently I din't need another police verification because it was already done at the time of reissue of my passport under tatkal scheme. So good thing was, my PCC was issued in a day. :dancing:

Hello,

I just checked my CEAC page, and saw the AoS fee changed to N/A, I had a checklist of the AoS with scan date of July 29, but the issue here is I got checklisted because of my birth certificate this Sept 12 (Submitted a photocopy instead the certified/original), could this mean that they accepted my AoS and they are scheduling the interview? Because I can present my certificate here.

Wow, just call NVC. CC is quite be a possibility like you are saying and also few cases I have seen whose later scan date packages were reviewed with earlier scan date (but it was EP though  ). You never know, you are the lucky one. Please update us after you call NVC. Good luck :)
