I finally sent off our AOS documents, and I sent the IV documents as well. I did EP so the worst that happens is I have to re-email them. There's no cover sheets or anything to mess with when doing EP so I figured it was worth a shot. I'm hoping it gives us an earlier scan date, or whatever they go by for EP and that we have the IV invoice by the end of this month...but that may be wishful thinking.

I believe NVC is reviewing documents up to July 22nd now. :clock:

I don't know if they have begun reviewing applications on July 23rd (scan date) since I don't think we have anyone with that scan date on here.

The closest scan date is July 24th and we have Soloenta (IV and CC), Samreen (IV), and Yamil (IV).

I am July 25th so I'm expecting to hear something by the end of next week, maybe? Fingers crossed! :star:

My documents for Wife and Stepson were scanned on July 18th and still no word from NVC. I will call tonight.

Hi Crisarria,

The first checklist was for a wrong amount entered in section 6 item 13.a.1 of my sponsors I-864 form. The second checklist was for the exact same thing, but for my co-sponsors I-864. Everything was sent to them together in one IV package so I find it very odd they didn't tell me both errors in the first checklist. I'm just going to have my co-sponsor re-fill the I-864 as instructed and mail it directly to the NVC.

OMG sorry to here that! Well i got a checklist for

AOS part 6 13a just like you for me. But I doubled check and saw that my co sponsors was wrong too and they did not mention so I changed it. Also I noticed my prior years same question were all wrong so I changed it too. I originally placed Adjusted gross income and I had to change it to total income so I double checked all of them. At the same time they reviewed my Civil Docs IV and I got checklist for husband birth certificate which was originally sent and they said they did not see. So i fixed everything and resent everything and now I am waiting.

I am now guessing I cant have a 2nd checklist because I got two already so they have to CC eventually.

Wow the silence on this thread is frightning!!! :clock::unsure:

That's because all the rowdy crowd have moved to http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/513879-the-nvc-moral-supportranting-thread/page-1 after many complains of noise.

Hi All,

My apologies if this is not the right thread for this question, but I couldn't find one with as many knowledgable people as this one! My IV invoice just showed as paid today and the DS 260 became available. Simultaneously, we requested an expedite and received an email from NVC Expedite today (after having received the "under review" email on Tuesday) that read as follows:

The U.S. Consulate in Sydney, Australia is willing to review your expedite request after we receive and review all the civil documents for this case. You will be notify [yes, grammatical error] when the Embassy makes a decision. If you have not already done so, you can submit your civil document and send them to this address: NVC address in NH

From reading as many threads as I could about expedites, this threw me a little. I was under the impression that I should NOT send the civil docs because I won't get them back in time if our expedite gets approved and we have to bring them to the interview. Does anyone have any advice here on whether or not to send the IV package and/or how this will play out?

Thanks in advance and congrats to all those with CC and progress this week!!

You're the second VJ member who got this empty expedite. The other member is Ochyzh. Contact him/her and see if they found a way to force a real expedite.

Today I am so thankful. My expedite request was APPROVED! It took 10 calendar days from when I submitted the request until the embassy agreed to expedite. All of my documents are at NVC as of Aug. 22. My husband has a heart condition and I didn't think I could request an expedite because it's not "life or death".

I hope it wasn't an empty expedite as Ochyzh and mjardine have received. You three should compare notes and strategies.

I'm not too sure about the ink, but messing up the income numbers can surely generate a checklist. Since it has only been a couple of weeks, I would suggest that you send in the new form and complete it properly. Also, please remember to list n/a for all the blank spaces.

Hi what income should be mentioned on I-864 from tax form 1040 ? Total income or adjusted gross income.

Thanks for helping.

FINALLY caught up on all of the pages I missed when our internet was out this week. Phew! Glad to see lots of movement happening!

Hi all,

I'm back after a lengthy time out from here waiting on a response from NVC regarding the checklist I received in July. Well I finally heard from them and guess what?????? Another check list!!!! They are saying that part 6, section 13.a.1 does not match the total (gross) income on my co-sponsors I=864 form and that they require a copy of her birth certificate as well. They could have easily mentioned this in the first check list they sent, since everything was sent together to them at the same time and I'd probably be receiving a case completed and awaiting for my interview date instead of this. Very frustrating.

Also,

Congrats to any good news my fellow VJ'ers may have received since I was last here!

So sorry to hear this, I don't understand why they would not have check listed both things together :protest:

CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!! I honestly can't even believe it. As you can see, last scan date was 7/22. Good luck to everyone!!

Congratulations!!! :dancing:

Congratulations stackeria
:dancing: :joy: :dancing:
Am so happy for you. I pray you get a quick interview date ASAP.

Congratulations Amanda on your interview date :dancing: :joy: Am so much happy for you, finally the long journey is almost coming to the end, you really deserve it.

Thank you!!! (L)

Finally found wifi good enough to make a Skype call to NVC and confirmed our case is complete as of yesterday (last scan 7/22).

No interview date yet. I think we probably missed an October interview by a day or two max. :(

Congratulations!!! :dancing:

Hubby called NVC this morning, Australia time, nighttime in the US and found out our AOS Checklist has been accepted and we will be receiving a false checklist email. Now just need to wait for the IV Checklist and then a CC. Scan date for AOS Checklist 22nd July.

Yay!! One step closer !!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

I know we are all going through the same thing here, but it is extra frustrating when I've been married to my US wife for 12 years, usually visit twice a year and spend at least 6 weeks there, have a clean background check and will be retiring with a good pension. I don't know what's going on, I'm just a good honest man that wants to be with my wife and her family.

Unfortunately, even honest people get screwed in life.

NVC is especially good at screwing people. They're ruthless and don't care if you're honest.

I'm a super honest person (sometimes too honest! LOL), but I have been screwed by NVC twice. :dead:

I had to wait for an IV fee invoice for 40 calender days and am waiting for 60 calender days for them to review my package! :bonk:

Wait! Am I ranting? If so, I should have posted this on the other thread!
