Good luck for sure. I think they are speeding up right now. Hope your interview goes well. I am still hoping to be able to go to Naples with my wife at the end of November. I know its a slim chance but still holding out hope.

Thanks! I will keep you updated for sure on how the whole process goes. I plan on writing a review after we have the interview of this whole process since there isn't a whole lot of reviews for CR-1 visas in Naples. Fingers crossed you and your wife have an interview the end of November! At least by Christmas hopefully!

No Change after Post Decision - should read something to the tune (or exactly to the tune):

Post Decision Activity

On August 25, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

That's the date they supposedly shipped it to the NVC but again I think it's bulk shipments and bulk receiving from both ends which causes the delay in receiving the packages.

Thank you so much for the reply. I started worrying for nothing. :)

USCIS sent me an email saying they shipped it on 8/29/14 (NOA2 8/18/14 I was at NSC).

NVC still has not received my case (so they say). {sigh} . . . . we just have to keep waiting. :clock: Once they "receive" the case (meaning they put it in their system), I think it's taking 2 weeks for them to assign a case # but some members have waited a month or more to get a case number. NVC told me that it takes up to 5 weeks from NOA2 date for them to receive a case from USCIS. Just fyi....although I have seen some members who have a "received date" way before the 5 weeks are up. Just keep praying they scan it in soon and assign a case # quickly! :rolleyes:

Hi there! I have two questions about the DS260... When they ask "is your spouse immigrating to the US with you?" The answer is No because he's already there right?

The other doubt is more complex... They ask about my primary occupation I put, but then they ask for my present employer. The thing is, I'm still working but by the time they review it I'll be unemployed..what should I do?! Thanks in advance!

I had the IV packet ready to send, but I was just waiting on my husband to send me his birth certificate and police records from Argentina and Panama.

Hi! Question: you mention a police certificate from Argentina... there's no "original" of this document though, is there? It's just a digitally signed PDF file that you can download from the DNR website? Just trying to make sure for when I send it.

It is a thrill to see so many finally moving to the next phase, and it bodes well for us if NVC is improving, Must be the 'September-back to work' ethic kicking in!! I'll let you know when I get a 'received' date....

It's no- even if he's in the states or outside the states. A US citizen cannot 'immigrate' back to their home country, it's simply just moving back.. technically. For the job part- Just to clarify two things.. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary...? Are you filling out the employment part about the the beneficiary, or are you filing the employment out for the petitioner- If it's for the beneficiary, then you put exactly what you're doing now. They know you're going to be unemployed afterwards if your visa is approved and are going to immigrate.

Just checking back in.

What is the scan date range right now for NVC? Are they in the middle of July yet? What are the most recent scan date approvals?

I think they are up to July 23rd but still some stragglers from 18th and up. Please correct me if I am wrong anybody.

2014/7/15 - Checklist response couriered to NVC by Lawyers

2024/10/27 - called NVC to be advised last scanned document is now September 17th, an email I sent early August and they looked at on September 17th.

2014/9/17 - last scanned date. Waiting for a Case Complete.

2014/10/30 - CASE COMPLETE

2014/11/10 - Interview Scheduled

2014/12/23 - Interview - going to try to move up a week but we will see.

2014/12/2 - interview and APPROVED

2014/12/18 - Smooth and quick POE at LAX then onto JFK by domestic
