I received the mail about IV payment yesterday, and it is in voice now. My question is don't we have to pay more then $230? Few weeks ago there was a topic on the fee hick. Don't understand, pls someone help.

I'm understanding that its the fee that is on the invoice you received. I received mine ysterday and it was for $230. I believe anything after yesterday will be the new fee.

Arg. So things were going well this week (as well as can be expected in NVC hell) until yesterday. Our IV fee was invoiced, unlocked and paid on Wednesday (9/10) and DS 260 (mostly) completed on Thursday (9/11) (Husband is going to proofread it today). I had the IV packet ready to send, but I was just waiting on my husband to send me his birth certificate and police records from Argentina and Panama. He shipped them to me on Monday from Panama through DHL, and the package arrived yesterday. PERFECT timing--one day after I could could print the IV cover sheet.

Well, yesterday was also my birthday so he decided to include six packages of Panamanian coffee (my favorite). When I opened the packet, all of the coffee was in there but NO DOCUMENTS. The outside of the package has that wonderful sticker that says "Opened and inspected by U.S. Customs." So I'm fuming because I'm pretty sure ICE lost all of these original documents that took months and hundreds of dollars to complete. I've called DHL and they initiated a trace, but I'm not optimistic.

Sorry to hear this. Hope you get it sorted out. If I were you I would try to contact the actual US customs entry point and see if the documents are there. Sounds like someone left them out when they resealed the package.

Yes I am checking daily. And it's stuck at post decision activity. Do they change the status after 'Post Decision Activity."

I was approved the same day as you. My case was shipped from NSC on 9/9/14. Now, I'm waiting a few days before I start to call to see if it has been received.

Thanks. Yes, I called the Customs office there, but they said the inspections (when they happen) actually take place at the DHL site. The nice man at Customs give me a phone number to call the specific DHL customs inspection location. I left a voicemail.

Thanks for the clarifying this, it is so confusing and one heck of a long process.

Anyway good luck with your journey.

Another checklist!!?? :wow: That's your second checklist, eh?

I also wonder why NVC didn't let you know about your other mistakes when they sent you the first checklist. :crying:

I hope you can fix the mistakes and send your checklist documents next week.

Well, "good" news is that NVC won't give you any more checklists since they only give you no more than two checklists.

Hi AustinCanada,

Yes I totally agree with you. Both I-864 forms from my sponsor and co-sponsor were sent together in the same package so it's funny how they found the error on one, but not the other until now. There should have only been one checklist in the first place and like I said I'd be awaiting for my interview date instead of being further stressed about the second checklist.

WHAT KIND OF CHECK LIST IS THIS NOW? IS REG AOS OR IV PACKET?

So sorry for you, that's the hardest part, a second checklist.

Thanks dilmera,

I know we are all going through the same thing here, but it is extra frustrating when I've been married to my US wife for 12 years, usually visit twice a year and spend at least 6 weeks there, have a clean background check and will be retiring with a good pension. I don't know what's going on, I'm just a good honest man that wants to be with my wife and her family.
