I received an eMail saying I can log into the portal and pay the $ 230 IV Fee but when I do, it's showing N/A I click takes me to the fee page and there's noting there to click on like how it was for the AOS fee. How long it typically takes for the system to make it available I got the eMail around 11 AM on 09/11/2014.

Na, im not doing EP, actually i havent even sent out my AOS yet but I will do snail mail. I will send both packages together next week when im also in USA

I'm back after a lengthy time out from here waiting on a response from NVC regarding the checklist I received in July. Well I finally heard from them and guess what?????? Another check list!!!! They are saying that part 6, section 13.a.1 does not match the total (gross) income on my co-sponsors I=864 form and that they require a copy of her birth certificate as well. They could have easily mentioned this in the first check list they sent, since everything was sent together to them at the same time and I'd probably be receiving a case completed and awaiting for my interview date instead of this. Very frustrating.

I also wonder why NVC didn't let you know about your other mistakes when they sent you the first checklist.

I hope you can fix the mistakes and send your checklist documents next week.

Well, "good" news is that NVC won't give you any more checklists since they only give you no more than two checklists.

The good news is, as you grow older you'll leave most of your phobias behind. In my case,

fear of darkness... gone,

fear of needles... gone,

fear of flying... gone (flying 50,000-70,000 miles a year took care of that),

fear of the dentist... gone (9 gum surgeries in the span of two years took care of that)

fear of my wife's short fuse... pending.

If you wanna get over a fear of needles... do what I did and get deep vein thrombosis. You get blood work done every day for a while then every three days, then every week, every two weeks etc etc etc

I used to pass out at the sight of a needle, but now I'm just like "you need 20 bottles? Ok *lifts up sleeve and donates 100% blood volume*"

I had to break some news to him, if this experimental medication hits the market, he's going to have to give me the shot every month because I can't give myself one!!

Funny story, my husband just had a form of LASIK eye surgery done last Thursday. He's been making video blogs about it. He asked me to film the eye surgery. Let's just say, half way through his first eye (with all the scrapping and clamps and such) and I nearly passed out. For the rest of the surgery, everyone in the room was asking if I was alright

I think PRK is supposed to be safer than LASIK. I've also heard of "No Touch". But how do you perform surgery if you don't touch?

I am filling out my DS=260 Yeh! and have a question about dates.

For addresses they are asking for Month and year. So do I say for example: May 2000 to JUNE 2005 and then JUNE 2005 to July 2007 or do I say May 2000 to MAY 2005 and June 2005 to July 2007. If I moved out the end of the month do I "overlap" the months or not?

Just make sure not to leave any gaps or the form will rebel on you.

How to print ds260? Theres no print button it only says sign and submit..help plz

I think the last thing you'll see is a long formatted summary of the entire DS-260 form. You can print that out as I did.

I am really fired up about this. My wife's police record was sent with the translation and certification of translation letter. My lawyer sent me the cover page that she mailed the NVC which provided all of the documents in order. She emailed them the docs again today at 6 am, as well as over nighted the documents today. NVC is saying another 60 days!!!

I think it is BS and just a ploy to buy more time!

Please calm down and consider the following three possibilities:

a) NVC lost your original PCC. In this case, whatever your lawyer "overnighted" won't satisfy them. You'll need to get a new original and send it in.

b) You lawyer didn't send the original and he/she just "overnighted" it. In this case, it would be really your lawyer's fault, not NVC's.

c) Your lawyer is still holding on to the originals and he/she sent copies in both occasions. Prepare a lynch rope.

Get informed and take action if required.

PS. If you're an EP filer or your lawyer "overnighted" a new PCC original you sent him/her after the checklist, then please ignore all the above.

I have finished the DS260! It wasn't too terrible, though the part about "withdrawing application to enter" got me confused. I ended up saying yes because I pretty much did... I just don't remember if that's what I actually did! Oh well, I told the truth though and that's that.

The story: Back in 2012 I was a loaf and had been in the states about 170 out of the 180 day per year limit. Now, it wasn't that I was there for 5 consecutive months or anything, I just took multiple visits and thought that the 180 days reset every time I returned to Canada. NOPE, LOL. Anyways, I had ridiculously stated that I intended to be there for 4 months since I was allowed six months and the CBP were like "Girl yoou dumb" so the officer said I could visit for a week but once I returned I shouldn't visit for 6 months. I was like "Nah bro, I'll just start that 6 months now and get a job."

So I did that. I'm not sure I signed a form though, but I definitely did decide myself not to enter that day. I actually called CBP before I wanted to enter in March 2013 asking if it was okay since my "ban" would be up by then, and that officer said "You were never banned :/" That's my story. I was dumb.

Don't be hard on yourself. You were just uninformed. CBP officers look at the entirety of your travel pattern when they decide on granting entry. Technically, you can stay up to 6 months every time you enter the US, but you have to have good reason for each occurrence, or they might decide you're just abusing your visitor status and deny you entry.

Since you opted to withdraw your entry application, you smartly avoided a ban. The incident was most probably recorded however. You absolutely did the right thing by declaring it in the DS-260. Otherwise, you would be grilled at the interview with prejudice.

Here is one thing you need to be informed about. If you have been spending a lot of time in the US for three years running, you might have triggered the substantial presence test and became a US tax resident without realizing it. If you did, then this is something you definitely need to be proactive about ASAP.

I believe so. You just have to click the "Sign" page at the top when you click on it once it's complete. It takes you back to the confirmation page and allows you to print it/email.

That will only get the Rlks the confirmation page. To get a printout of the entire submission, Rlks needs to go the IV Application on CEAC, hit next till the last page and print the filled form.

Our AOS fee has turned to N/A! Last scan date was July 22nd for an AOS checklist (the lawyer either forgot to include my 2013 tax documents or NVC lost them).

I'm in the middle of the boonies in Scotland right now, with poor to zero internet and phone coverage, so I probably won't be able to call NVC until tomorrow night at the earliest. I'm relieved though I'm not sure we're in time for an October interview.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on their case complete. It looks like NVC is back to working 1 scan day every business day! Everyone on this thread has been super helpful.
