Completing my DS-260.

One questions that confuses me. "Is the child immigration with you."

I remember someone mention that if there is a separate petition for a child then the answer is "no" . I just cannot find the official explanation for this part of the form. Does anyone knows if "no" is the right answer and the child will be traveling with us?

Anyone please, what date is NVC working on?

My package was scanned on Jul 18th and no word yet from NVC.

NVC is working on July 22nd scan dates now. I surely would call if I were you.....

Who knows you might already have a CC!!!

I have a question that might proof to be rather complicated. Sorry in advance if it has already been asked, but I didn't want to go through 120+ pages and I don't know what search-term to use in the search engine.

Okay, I'm trying to get the DS-260 done, after filling in everything it tells me to review it. While reviewing I notice that in the top left of the page suddenly is an extra portion called 'location' which wasn't there while I was completing the DS-260. So I try to review it, but it will not let me select it, clicking it does nothing. Going back to the 'complete' page will not show said 'location' tab, and logging out & in wont do anything either. When I go to the 'e-sign' page, it will let me fill everything out but it won't let me click the 'Sign and Submit Application' button. I'm assuming this is because the location tab isn't review -or filled out for that matter-

Of course I'm trying to get through to the NVC to ask them, although I doubt a simple rep is going to be able to help me and so far I never got a supervisor on the line even after asking for one.

So far I tried switching browsers and computers. I started out on Internet explorer because as far as I know, the NVC prefers that for some reason. Firefox and chrome don't do much, swtiching to linux doesn't do anything either.

I included a couple screenshots, in the spoiler below in case my explanation isn't all that clear.

Does anyone have any idea what to do, is there a simple fix for this or am I perhaps being very very dumb and overlooking something obvious?

Hmm, not sure about that location portion, but to be able to sign and submit, you need to read that PDF in the middle of the last screen, in the red box, about Selective Service. Have you done that already?

Maybe tomorrow :) are you from Lima? we are three peruvian girls who have lunch every like two weeks to support each other, one of us have her visa already, she will travel this saturday, Krystell and I are waiting for cc so we will go to get all the interview documents together ;) if you want to join us you are welcome!

I did open it already, but I just reopened it 'just in case' and you were right.

Haha, you're welcome! Maybe you have to open it each time when you go on that page, so if you move away to another location, then you may have to re-open it before being able to sign/submit.

yes, I know many people who did that.. and after like a month or so, their IV fees get invoiced..I will be using the AOS barcoded sheet for both packets...:)

Ok... that's very good, keep me posted about your progress.

with the new process its getting slightly different, you might need to also wait for a "document cover sheet" that they will email you, i posted it a few pages ago as I got one yesterday.

You are doing EP, maybe it's different for EP?

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

Yep, I found out over the phone. My paid never changed to N/A. No interview date yet, I'll let you guys know!

I'll tell you as soon as I know. When I called and got the CC, there was no interview date yet. Good luck!!

Congratulations!!! So so happy for you!!! ? I called around 12 pm & my 7/22 case had not been reviewed yet, I will try my luck tomorrow!! :)

Hi all,

I'm back after a lengthy time out from here waiting on a response from NVC regarding the checklist I received in July. Well I finally heard from them and guess what?????? Another check list!!!! They are saying that part 6, section 13.a.1 does not match the total (gross) income on my co-sponsors I=864 form and that they require a copy of her birth certificate as well. They could have easily mentioned this in the first check list they sent, since everything was sent together to them at the same time and I'd probably be receiving a case completed and awaiting for my interview date instead of this. Very frustrating.
