I sent mine in as soon as I found the mistakes and it does save time and in my case tons of time.

In this case did your scanned date changed to the date they received your corrected docs or remained the same?

this is from my checklist. .everything else was empty. they said this is all they could find. I understand but I don't. Considering my first checklist was I added income and assets together, and checked a wrong box. I understand that. I sent the corrections in, even signed in black ink. They claim it was not black ink. Not sure why. I have been at NVC a long time. Then they said my husband had undeliverable email address? We use it everyday. It works fine. Even had them verify they had it wrote down correctly. Just tired of the process. It has been a long journey so far.

What a crock of I think it's an excuse to hold people back and it's random. EVIL SOB's.

Yes but since I did it right away like the next day actually it was delayed by two days. The quicker you send the corrected one the less time you have to wait.

Then our AOS scanned date should be August 14th haha not an issue actually since our IV scanned date is on the 27th? hope will not be getting any checklist ugh getting anxious with this tooooooo much waiting????

I signed some in black some in blue an some in both and no checklists hahahahaaa over kill I know but wasn't going to risk it..... They must have thought this B is crazy just let it pass! THEY ARE LUCKY THEY DID!

Well we have discovered a couple of issues on the form. PIL did in fact put their adjusted gross despite not filing 1040EZ. They said we could just reprint that page and add it to the package but I don't want to do that, and we can't really because our paper is different to US standard size paper! Lol. That's okay, I think at the moment it is just easier/safer to just get them to do it again, and send it as fast as they can with Fedex and not awful awful awful USPS. I have to remember that we have been incredibly lucky so far, and things have happened very quickly for us so we have some time up our sleeves. I am calm and zen. ~~yoga pose~~

More than just using Chrome, I would download the PDF to your computer and use Adobe Reader to fill it out. I had problems with every web-browser I tried in both OSX and Windows.

As you type, the big barcode at the bottom of each page should be making small changes. I didn't notice that happening until I used Adobe Reader (not a web browser). Also, with Adobe Reader there were some other changes I noticed that I didn't see in modifying the PDF on the computer. For example, when choosing the country, some fields in the address section are automatically blanked out so you can't fill them in.

I think the PDF was made for the Adobe format more than other PDF readers. In the end, I just used that even though it was a bit slower than other programs.

Good luck! As a side note, I don't think you'd get a checklist for not having the code, I just imagine that it would be much easier for them to input your information using the code. I think they can still manually type your information in anyway.

Hi

YOu have to open the form in adobe reader. Some browsers let you see the form but it is not the right one. You probably don't see the bar code on the bottom of each page either

Yup thats exactly what happened. I saved a copy on my computer and then was able to input my info & the bar code showed up at the bottom of all pages. ? THANKS FOR UR HELP, REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!

I think i've made a few mistakes after reading a lot of forums and reading about people getting checklists, so i wanted to see what you guys think about it all#

Mistake #1: On the Form I-864EZ, we left a few spots blank# Like Part 3, #9 - place of residence #if diff't from mailing## Also left Name of second employer blank since there's only one employer#

Mistake #2: Signed the form I-864EZ in blue ink! Thought this would be best because we filed using electronic processing# But re-read the instructions and realised they do specifically say black ink#

Mistake #3: On the ceac website, on august 23rd, clicked on the DS-261 link! Argh# Went from complete to incomplete# So i re-completed it, but I didn't get an email from NVC, so i'm hopeful that they are still just considering the july 13th date for submitting the ds-261# I read on the August NVC thread, that the resetting of the date was a glitch and it seems to be fixed - i'm hopeful of this since I don't want to be set back 60 days from august 23rd! I am planning to call NVC to double check next week#

Mistake #4: No VJ signature. It would aid in getting you more directed and useful advice from VJ members.

My AOS was scanned Aug 1st, so im expecting DS260/IV sometime in the next two weeks# My wife keeps asking if its realistic to expect our reunion this year, with the 60days reviews i dont know how to really answer that# From your experience is it realistic to expect interview by Dec, if im going submit DS260/IV by mid sept and no checklist?

You'll have to be able to submit DS-260/Civil Docs by early September, get straight approvals by early November and get scheduled for early December. Possible, if all the stars align for you. I would aim for Valentine's Day... more romantic and definitely more realistic.

I've seen lots of talk about consummation on these forums. As far as immigration is concerned, consummation means you spent a night together. What you actually did during that night is your own business.

What... no pictures required? What if you get a dirty old man for a CO?
